Rajini's next movie, Baba: Who's MD?

I heard on a brief Sun News last night that Rajini has announced his next movie after 3 years, to be titled "Baba". I missed out the details though.
Does anyone know who the MD is?

  Well, I don't care who the MD is , they must have SPB singing @least 2 songs in a film, hariharan, Udit & Shankers voices do not suit super*.

  so i added one more comment about him.
  
  ... and I did not say meddling with every aspect of movie making is a bad thing. I jus tried to make tigger understand while terrible lyrics in a kamal movie may be a result of Kamal himself, the same can't be said for a rajini movie.
  plus mentioning Kamal in this thread has its advantages too. :-)

  Kathalin theebam is not bad. But to say that it is better than the songs in the movies (from baasha, annamalai, muthu, padaippa) is stretching it too far.

  Gowri you don't have to be apologetic in saying Kaathalin dheepan onRu as "is not bad". It is infact bad and one of the worst songs of TFM.

  My answers:
  
  IR - If want immediate + quality songs (Yes)
  - Difference of opinion/misunderstanding, who cares about BGM in Rajini movie (No)
  ARR - If Rajini can wait for one year or more (Yes)
  - Expensive, poor cassettes sales recently, not many great hits recently (No)
  
  Deva - Cheaper, timely delivery, previous great hit films. Director Suresh Krishna worked with Deva only (do not remember any IR/ARR films for Rajini)
  
  Vidya Saagar - Great (If no IR/ARR, I wish VS scores)
  Bharadwaj - Possibly.
  
  My best bet is Deva given the 'NOs' above.

  adhanaaa..... unmaiaaa sonnnaaaa porukadhaeeey, udanaey vayatherichal, IR cassette sales achaaanu kaetpingaaa...... compared to ARR's other cassette sales, other than KM, i don't think others were a hit *COMMERCIALY* (were they hit musically, GOD knows).....
  
  Why Not, i go only by whatever is said in the NEWS sections in NET - i remember reading that KAASI producer was very happy the audio cassete sales were very good..... so its upto u to believe it or not....

  I guess you missed(dont know wantedly or unwantedly:-)) a point in STS' post. STS was comparing ARR with ARR-till-recent-past. Yes! IR's cassette sales were not even hits, fine now, could you now say that ARR's recent cassette sales were as good as his recent-past's? This applies to you too ROTFL
  
  But, coming out of this whether the songs are great or not so great Rajini songs will be listened just because of Rajini songs. Songs being great would be an addition to that only.

  STS was comparing a bunch of MDs and dismissed ARR cos of poor record sales in the recent past. You see, if u had to choose from A,B,C and D and was told tat while B had produced the best results in recent times, B's results were far better a year ago, wud u not go for B still? I mean wat do u care how B's performance has fluctuated if B's performance is still a head better than A, C or D? I was not ignoring STS's point. I was bringing it back to context.

  Being happy, sad, disappointed are subjective terms. I've thought I was going to stuff up an exam and was delirious when I learnt I had got 51, while I've expected a high distinction for another paper and was disappointed that I only got 79 and missed it by 1 mark. So does that make 51 better than 79? Subjective.

  Unmai has several degrees. IR fans sollura unmai, HCIRF sollura unmai, ARR fans sollura unmai.... And they all need not necessarily be the same.

  if its Deva, iam sure he will blend with *today's* RAJINI songs..... ARR's or IR's song will have their brand on the songs more than RAJINI songs, but Deva, iam sure the end product will have a good RAJINIku ethaaaa songs (that does'nt mean that Deva is better than ARR or IR)....

  I am sure this time, Rajini, will give a chance to either Yuvan and Karthik. He had a bitter experience with ARR and more over his market is not as good as three years before. He is in downgrade. I wish Kaarthik should get the offer from the super star

  Rajini's valli( own production) was with very nice and good music even lata rajinikanth sang.BGM was very nice.especially this song" enggengo enggengo" sang by swarnalatha really soothing music.Why NOT rajini this time his own production film give to IR.
