Harris Jeyaraj's sarcasm words on A.R.Rahman

Opening line of Harris Jayaraj's acceptance speech on receiving the 2004 Tamil Filmfare Award for Best Composer, "Tamizhnattu makkallukku nadulaye irundhu tamizhukkaga vela seyiradhala peruma padaren"

Translation: "I take pride in being amongst the people of Tamil
Nadu and working for Tamil"

The thing is ,he said im proud to be in Tamil Nadu and working for
Tamil. I mean saying proud to be working for tamil would have been
enough. Indirectly this means there may be others (OFcourse ARR) who
may be busy working abroad or in bombay,working for other
languages,and not doing enough tamil

  for your information, if people heard majnu they would know that he has lifted some songs completely for kakka kakka. i dont know why within few films musicians recycle their own tunes and say they are getting more sales in cassette. Still today if you see illayaraja and even yuvan try new tunes and no recycling. just putting tapping music from your own album will be there for few years. after that they will ditch him. same is happening for rahman. people were tolerant for sometime from his routine of recycling tunes made for hindi to tamil and viceversa.

  Yeah,it has happened in case of Rahman,but not jus that Rahman gave them commanding the Dirs,rather those ppl wanted Rahman to compose,and they didn't mind if they were reused ones,so what's a big issue here?,Praveen kanth a tamil dir(Rathagan,Jodi,Star fame(??)) acquired the audio rights of 'Doli saja ke Rakna' and released the audio even b4 a single shot was canned for Jodi.If dirs are such crazy,then what worries you?
  No body has ditched Rahman,and the bluffs like Rahman is moving out to bolly and abroad jus because he doesn't have anything to do here must be the joke of the century,such ppl grossly insult their own cerebrums and cerebellums,take care dudes.

  if this statement looks logical to you,then those bluffs will also look very much correct.

  Every year film fare awards will organize the function in different states of south india.Last year(2003) thay conducted in hyderabad and previous in chennai. If u have good hearing it is very clear from harris words that he feels proud to get the awards in tamil nadu among the tamilians.
  Hj is one among few humble personalitiies in TFM.he always has and shows good regards on his fellow MDs.please don't spoil the relation of two good music directors whom we r proud about.

  Dei Isai Piriyan,even i like Hj man,just that once it come personally ,i rate ARR ova Hj 100time more,u c,Hj havent succeed anytine yet evn in his 3 years in TFM,u c AR got his 1st National Award for his 1st album Roja....Rahman is alwiz a trend setter,wherelese HJ is alwiz a trend-follower,i didn say he cant churn out any good tunes,i really like many of his tunes (Mabby coz its like ARR's ???) ;)

  HJ has started repeating his tunes. The beginning was good for him but then he started re-using which is not good. While some people criticise Rahman for doing that, mind you, Rahman is in the industry for over 10+ years and the repetition started only recently while HJ did it in 3 years.

  No, Rahman was hailed after Roja. We reassess his career after 10 years and we still find him to be an excellent MD. While HJ is good also, so far he hasn't had any really great projects to show that he has more potential. He seems to be doing mainly Arul, Saamy stuff these days. Of course, we have Tamil filmmakers to blame for that. There's no scope for a Meenaxi in TN.

  when raja went for symphony, then everybody appreciated that raja is genius and it is very great. but when arr went for doing west, people are saying he is ignoring tamil and his fans. what a great stupid people yar ?

  ARR in King of Indian Music.
  He Experiments with Music to give as veriety.
  In his team i like Karthik , Unni menon , Unnikrishnan , chinmayi .. they are really good singer.
