Sorry about that. I meant to say I "heard it as " thaar meedhu, and someone explained to me that it referred to the horizon. I thought it was some senthamizh funda.

Udhaya: Using upper case for vallinam is a quite popular practice. pazhaya posts paththeenganna theriyum. BTW isn't it pangaaLi? :-)
(For completeness sake, we have 'la' and 'La'; 'ra' and 'Ra'; 'na', 'Na' and 'n_a' (like in n_alam. though this is infrequently used) Ethaavathu vittuttEnA?)

soR kutRam patRi paesalaam aendRaal "iLaya nila pozhigiradhae"-la varra mugilinangaL alaigiradhae mugavarigaL tholaindhanavo (mugil inangaL -> classes of clouds -> hence essentially a plural(coz classes), but alaigiradhu verb is treated as if the noun is singular. I have raised it earlier in some other thread, that time udhaya or somebody told that it could be "paaduvadhaal aerpatta vaarthai muzhumai inmai" i.e. it could be alaigiradhaen but sung as alaigiradhu. but still the "alaigiradhaen" could be splitted as "alaikiradhu aen" and hence still a "verb treating a plural noun as singular".

Song: kattodu kuzhalaada aada, aada, kaN aendRa meenaada aada, aada.
Line: "pachcharisi palaada".
The song is a varnanai of young woman (or women?) in that for continuing the "aada" trend kaNNadaasan has written as "pachcharisi pal aada". If the varnanai of YOUNG women then how come pal will aadify. pal will be aadify for children and kaeLavis. This was pointed out by somebody to KD and KD accepted it, thanked that person felt sorry about the mistake.

kupps, "pacharisi palada" is not porut kutram. It is referred as Mayakam. Porul Chariyanathey. Aanal veru maathiriyaana porulil purium. "Vakkanam Kaatuvathu" is the real meaning of "Pacharisi Pallada". But it means something else. This is not double meaning. The wrong meaning will be very much prominent. One more good eg is "Andthu Manjchal Nirathavalai: En Nenjchil Niraindthavalai" from Rajakumaran song.
Manjchal Nirathavalai means yellow toad. :-)
