A little knowledgeable fan of music will easily identify the subsequent beats of any IR song after the first few words. His beats are the most boring and routine.
Frankly it is most amazing that his songs appeal to some people, given the monotony and non-imaginative nature of his songs.

mm.. I happen to c some guys in the threads they are generating a habit of bashing the music genius(Raja) without having any substance on ther side. Its ridiculous.I don't know what do they know about that great man's non stop work for the past 25 years. DO they atleast know what are all his achievemnets. They r telling that he is outdated and he is not using the sophisticated instuments. Really funny.. C.. illiterates he is the one who brought the computer systhesised music in the movie Vikram in mid 80's itself. I don't know whether u guys knwo or not A.R.Rahman's work with Raja for the movie Punnagai Mannan. Even now no other music directors create such a kind of percussion. If u get a chance get the dvd of Chiraisaalai or Hey Ram.. what an amzing bgm with aun international quality. Even u can compare them with the hollywood movies. C when Raja was young he gave shoulder to lot of great directors work.. who were already very dominant in the Industry. The names like Jaaganath, Balachander, K.Viswanath, Sreedhar.. he never gave flops to those legends. He was so sincere to those directors. And moreover its so visible that he always did justice to the young and as well the matured hero's at that time to maintain and improve their image. He gave hands to all the new talent to the industry. Barathiraaja, R.Sundarajan, Rajasekar, Maniratnam, S.P.Muthuraman,Amirjan, Fazil, Balumahendra, Ranagrajan,Gangai Amaran,Bagyaraj,Manivannan,Parthiban.. when they came to the industry. This is like in 80's. Samthing continued in the 90's also. There are lot of directors. Action movie or Village story or art movie or histroical story.. the director's first choice is Raja. U know in 90's Kathir, Priyadahrasan, they managed to get a big entry only bcoz of raja's music. Think about all the other new music directors.. they have done their job very well in sending the great directors home. For instnace Balachander and Barathiraja are already gone and mani is on the way.. there is no need for me to explain what happened with those director's movies and the bgm in their movies.C songs only wont make a movie hit.. songs are only for the 20 mins in a 3 hours movie. But bgm has to tie the people to their seats all through the movie. Now their movies bgm sucks big time. These directors they were doing that job very well when they work with raja.Every other movie of those directors are big hits bcoz of their musical value. o.k leave that... think about the new directors those who come to the industry with lots of dreams.. do they get satisfied with this isai puyal's work. S.. his music is like a storm only... that will come once in a while.. but that won't do anything good for the people. Do u guys remember.. y the movies like pudhiya mugam, pavithra, may madham.. are flops even they have good songs.. bcoz of this guy's funky bgm. Not only that.. c kannathil muthamittal which really needs to describe the pathetic life of the srilankan tamils.. this guy did such a worse work that.. noone gotr the effect.. even that was visualized nicely. But Still Raja.. is doing a great job in giving his strong shoulders to the new talents. Bala, Thangarbachan,A.R.Murugadoss.. and a lot of names to come.. So pls accept the truth... When ur MD is going to really give his hands to help the Directors to give big success then really we believe that he is a music genius.. till then lets leave about talking that guy who is never realted to music..

Some people's opinions are crisp and to the point. While some others' are monotonous and boring, just like their guru's. :)

It's funny, and kind of sad, that someone with, say, Lollu Party's intelligence and sophistication would waste time trying to change IR fans' opinions. I pity people like that, really. :-(

purv, I will NOT dream of changing IR fans' opinions. That would be an exercise in futility. :)

Folks, simply ignore this Low-loo Party, whose only intention is to kill time by starting fights. He is more of a Kollu Paati, and when he says 'ARR' or 'Roja' he is referring to brands of supari and not the composer :)
Back to the topic plz.

Friends, just listen to
'Vaanengum thanga vinmeengal vizhiImai moodi' song from Moonraam Pirai. I couldn't help rocking for the rythm

When I think of good, rocking beats I think of Deva's Gaana music. However I have won't eliminated IR from my tamil listening and will keep an open mind. I do recognize that he is a talented composer and more enjoyable than some I've heard, but perhaps my taste in music is different than IR's style.

Purv - How about setting the records straight? :)
Prabhu, Honestly I have forgotten what is it in me that irks you. It is easy to do what you do (such as calling you Bra-boo, etc) but I don't usually carry grudges. If you have anything against me, take it out directly please.

>>>If you have anything against me, take it out directly please.
They don't ahev any thing reasonable against anybody here. If they reason out then it will fall flat and expose how unreasonalble it was...So LP, don't worry. All these things show frustrations. Blank and big frustration.

Okay, Lollu Party. You and IR don't click. I can see that as clear as day. For you, Ilayaraja can do no right. That is the long and the short of it, no? That's OK. I'm sure there must be someone in the TFM industry that can do no justice for me, I just have to think about WHO.....
