Kannadhaasan Vs. Vairamuthu TFM Symposium Topic 6: Samudhaaya Seerthirutha / Puratchi Paadalgal

For a good understanding of how to approach this ongoing symposium, please refer to the thread, "Kannadhaasan Vs. Vairamuthu TFM Symposium Topic 1:Iyarkai Varnanai" before you post. Let me reiterate that this is not a patti mandram, but a research symposium.
Please show TFM examples of both poets with regards to just their Samudhaaya Seerthirutha / Puratchi Paadalgal for this thread.

  is the song "chinna payalae chinna payalae sethi kelada" written by kannadasan.
  even that is one fantastic song?

  there is an important topic missing in Udhaya's
  list of topics to consider: kuzhandhai/thaalaattu
  paadalgaL. The thread that you pointed out
  should give ample examples in that category, for

  Okay, guys, before we all abandon this ailing symposium , let's give summations for this topic. Based on sheer volume and variety of situations Kannadhaasan wrote for, he has the edge in this category over VM. VM wasn't outclassed here though. Next to Iyarkai Varnanai, VM is best with revolutionary ideas and social issues. In another ten years, this category should be difficult to judge for I hope VM would have gotten more opportunity to show in TFM the revolutionary fervor that's inherent in his printed poetry. I know this has been laborious folks, but only a few more topics and we can wrap up this symposium which has been a tremendous effort by all in preserving TFM history.

  KD and VM both have to their credit many songs, on many different situtations. I dont know whehter we can consider Volume of songs as a criteria for this particular topic.
  Unlike other categories like kaathal, iyarkai varunanai writing Rev./Social ideas for TF is difficult,bcos you need a perfect situation which rarely comes. Nowadays who talks about social issues in TF?
  Situation wise, both have covered almost all areas. The words choses for those situations were equally effective. SOllaponal, kaathal paatula kooda "Jaathi matham ellam munnavanga senja mosam" nu VM santhula sinthu paadrar.
  (As kanchana pointed out, when it comes to Penmai, pen viduthalai, VM KDai thooki sappituuvidukirar)
  How many people in TN will think of KD's, VM's songs when talking about Social ideas?(Forget this generation. We still have to come out of the illusion that all old songs were written by KD) Immediately everyone will name PKKS. (It was/is the case all along till now).
  No attempt to degrade KD or VM.
  In fact, many of KD's VM's (Not all) social/rev. songs come into limelight only during such symposiums, pattimandrams when everyone dig all the films to support a person.
  Both dont have concrete social ideas. One song they write so great about women and in the next they talk about how women should know their places in the society. Which one was written for situation and which one was written to awaken the society? Only those two can answer.
  
  In fact both KD and VM are equal in this topic , since both their
  Social/revolutionary songs failed to create an impact on the masses.
