  No need for that friend, we are already here to verify such ridiculous false claims, don't need to take any flight!!!
  Its lies like this that you still try to justify and refuse to admit, that makes the case very irritating. At least if you had used some remote resort in Malaysia, Thailand or so, it would not have been exposed. Now you still want to maintain that there is such a hotel facing the sea with monkeys in the vicinity. Please as a Singaporean myself, would very much like to be discovering it myself.   It is quite unfortunate that a petty discussion should emerge on monkeys. The Kumutham journalist wanted to do a story different from Anantha Vikatan- as Vikatan was the first toone to cover the TIS story. Thereofore the journalist wanted some very different experiences. But for the friend who asserts that there is no hotel in Singapore facing the sea, I forgive his ignorance.
  Let me exactly quote what the home page of Shangrila's Rasa Sentosa hotel has to say about itself:
  
  "Located on the western tip of Sentosa island, Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort is Singapore's only beachfront hotel.   Let me also inform my friend that this hotel comes within the only Reserved Forest limit. I kindly ask the friend to book a ring side room-say like the one IR stayed and check for himself whether he gets monkey visitors in the morning hours and birds in the early forenoons.
  
  But for the rest of all other good friends let us focus on how we can take TIS to the people in a massive and dignified manner.

  see animals and birds are the most spiritual creations of God in my opinion. only when they are hungry and provocated do they do any human like aggressive behavior, they have otherwise basically no needs, no purpose. that is what Illayaraja is drawn to the animcals and nature and likewise these elements to the Raja!!!!!!

  I am not being overly optimistic or brash, but did IR' any release in the last 30 years need marketing at all? the only problem is supply? i have probably atleast 3 different copies (bought of course) of various albums, in cassette, taped from original rare LPs, cd, compilations from crapmasters HMV and so on.
  
  the problem is: is there supply? so, TiS needs to be prepared with supplies, right pricing strategies, right distriution outlets and what else you want - fans enthusisam and word of mouth to be the link, which no marketing company can match that. here and there some newspaper reviews, some top TV interveiws etc... will follow, i say.
  
  so, basically SUPPLY it and SUPPLY in stylish packaging. that is it, sir.

We request the fans to be patient for a few more days as we expect to meet with IIr and get a final strategy on the marketing aspects and how far he is willing to make the necessary appearances, press shows, signing events, like that.   Actually when IIR goes on world tour for live shows .. the organizers can sell TIS CD's ...
  I think this would work out very very well..

  SSSSAV, my crazy yet profound stuff has always been ahead of time and eventually fulfilled. but the appropriate points are the good stuff ;---) Thanks anyway.
  
  Whether people copy or mp3 adichchify, if the product is even just good, but consistently throught the album, people will shell out dollars to buy it. So, the important thing is WORKING HARD at a suitable design, jacket strategy, especially the sleeve notes and history of the composer and how his achievements got him to the position of composing for this literature - should be written in the most professional and objective language, preferably by a music journalist or musicologist. I strongly recommend this aspect to be given full attention: a musicologist who will write an easy flowing history of the following: ( I buy CDs just to have these thrilling information.)
  
  Tamil literary history - in persepctive with Tiruvacakam
  
  Appropriateness of this epic in today' context - actually how much it inspired IR to give his unparalleled talents and how he expects everyone to be inspired by the music because of the context of the music;
  
  The emphasis is not on IR' prowess of unbeatability or past achievements - the focus of the effort is on Tiruvacakam and how much a symphony elevates its appeal on a world level.
  
  If possible, a translation in Spanish, Chinese & Japanese (as these cultures are more indigenous language oriented) Tamil is a must (or produced seprately for Indian audience with Tamil & English & Hindi, maybe)
  
  to summarise:
  
  WORK HARD, ACTUALLY WORK REALLY VERY HARD ON THE FOLLOWING:
  
  HAVE A MUSICOLOGIST FRAME A one page or two page SLEEVE WRITE-UP ON IR AND HIS QUALIFICATION TO GIVE a rebirth TO TIRUVACAKAM (ONLY SUBTLE AND OBJECTIVE EMPHASIS ON IR' GENIUS RECOMMENDED FOR THIS SPECIFIC PRODUCTION OUT OF DUE REVERENCE TO SAINT MANIKAVACAGAR AND ASLO THE CONTEXT IN WHICH THE ALBUM IS PRODUCED. because such singlular praises should have been lavished in over 800 film albums. )
  
  I DOUBT IF IR WILL GO ON SIGNING VISITS, IT IS LIKE AUTHORS WITH PLENTY OF TIME TO spare stopping by at bookstores to sign books. Instead, TiS team can obtain signatures of certain numbers to sell at premium say $50.00 etc.. let us not go too much into Elvis area!!!)
  
  2. DESIGN HAS TO BE BY THE BEST PROFESSIONALS WITH INDIAN COLORS (LIKE IN TEMPLE FACADES)
  
  3. Most important, I am sure fans are willing to stock up on CDs and so must be encouraged to order in bulk.
  
  4. Musical colleges in the USA are a must.
  
  This is all for it reach a global audience. It is all in the packaging for the global audience. That should not be IR' worry, it should be TiS' main challenge from now on. I would say forget the jalra side like signing, tv, press etc... all bull and craps, pure waste of time, only marginal benefits. Fans who are in a position and capacity to reach out to friends in their neigbhourhood will find wonderful opportunity with this work of IR. Best chance to even cross-sell film albums, carnatic, etc...
