ARR's 10th Anniversary in TFM - A Decade of Fans

It is a known fact that with Baba, ARR has marked his 10th year in TFM in a Big Way.
The beneficiaries of this prodigy's talents, tat’s us the fans, have decided to call for Celebrations in a Big Way.
Hence, a Constellation of ARR Fans from the newtfmpage Forum got together and took a walk down memory lane, through each year of A Decade of Rahmania.

The fruit of our labour saw the creation of a whole new Website, "10 Years of Universal Conquest", in Dedication to ARR.

  his post contains profanity in the last line. I have heard such pofanities before and they dont affect my sensitivities. So i wont waste time on telling him how wrong he was, writing this on threads, where children & elders access regularly.

  Going back to bb's "where is ARR going to be in the next 10 years, w.r.t to TFM", I'd like to continue wit my translation of AR Rahman's Sun TV interview during Independence Day. Are Yaar's posts in the New Releases thread motivated me to do this finally.

  Interviewer: This is a secret. There is a talk that Columbia Pictures has invited you accept the offer? I mean, such offers from Hollywood?
  
  ARR: There are a couple of offers...
  Here people know how I work. They are very sympathetic towards me. "Ok, he is usually late" and so on. And finally they expect a good product from me.
  So over there, I think people understand me. It is rare/amazing (aboorvam) to get a director like that. If I get, I'd rather for that kind of Director. Over there, the director's part is less. Studios mainly have more power.
  
  Interviewer: You mean, the producer.
  
  ARR: Yes, the producer.
  So if they wish, they will call the Director, just like calling the editor, and throw him out.
  
  Interviewer: So you mean to say that Music Directors have more respect compared to the Directors.
  
  ARR: No. Depends on the movies. So if for a certain movie, they like something special, like Bombay Dreams, if they have something special for me, then I will go.
  
  Interviewer: In Tamil movies, there are a lot of songs and duets. In English movies, there is more importance given to background score.
  
  ARR: Yes, exactly.
  
  Interviewer: So do you think you will change it? If you go there and work on a movie, will you change by having songs and giving importance to it?
  
  ARR: The main foundation was Bombay Dreams. We did it the way we do it here. It has a total of 19 musical bits in it.
  There is already a talk with Miramax to make it as a movie.
  
  Interviewer: But in India, theatre and movie are two different things. Though they call it parallel cinema, there is no connection at all. But there, you are trying to say, they are going to incorporate one into the other. As Bombay Dreams is a musical hit, so have music in the movie as well. Do you think it is possible?
  
  ARR: Yes it is. Because if you look at the olden days, Sound of Music was a play at first. It was only later made into a film. Same with My Fair Lady. It used to be a play and then it was converted into a film.
  
  Interviewer: So there will be a revolution when you go there.
  
  ARR: Hopefully. God willing. [smiles]

  ARR sounded more confident and outspoken than he used to be. Again it was half-English, half-Tamil and half-sentences, so I did my best to translate with full sentences, while keeping the content intact.
  
  This sounds like Bombay Dreams may continue to take ARR away from Tamil movies in the future. But I think he shud go for it and try new pastures instead of getting stuck in the usual routine here.

  the word "jump" in that sentence looks out of place and has no meaning. It is being invented for our benefit.
