We can together sponsor an IR album !!!

Guys & gals, I have already put this stuff in one of the therads. But, owing to the poor response, I am starting it as a topic. I am sure if some of us get together, we can sponsor an album of say, IR's great BGM pieces or something like that. I really miss listening to them. I am sure we could raise the funds over a period of time.

Interested people, please respond in this thread. We will have to plan out the details also.

  Aruna girana - must be included in the list. Awesome orchestration!
  Deva sangeetham is my another choice since it has good melody and orchestration!
  Edho moham must be included as it has impressed Paul Mauriat (as well as RD Burman) & hence the probability is quite high for a non-south Indian to like the tune, prelude, chorus and interludes!!
  Please avoid songs like `Pudhu mappillaikku or rambambum' as they may be termed imitations of some popular WM of 60's!
  Rakkamma can be considered for its appealing violin concerto! Other nos. can be Poongatru, Putham puthukkalai, pani vizhum malarvanam, vizhiyile malarndhadhu (Bhuvana oru?)!
  
  Is it at all possible for someone to check with IR (or at least KR) what the maestro would like to be presented to this client? Is he not the best judge guys?

  I have encoded all GURU songs in mp3 format with superb quality. They have been encoded from CD.
  
  I have also encoded Chirakaatikkili from "My dear kuttichchaththan" since I felt it came very close to Aruna kirana deepam.

  Let language not create any unnecessary hassles - so the instrumental pieces need to be included. Please ensure that a "variety" is shown in the final set of songs chosen.

  i didn't forget kAdhal Oviyam or manRam vandha or enna saththam or rAja rAja chOzhan. i left them deliberately out of my list. if forced i would like to include only kAdhal Oviyam but even this i am not sure. it's a great song but will the CSO people think so?

  I wish I could, but do not think it is possible to send, Arul, because all the mail servers limit the size of the mails. Each mp3 is is somehwere around 5+ MB.

  1. Uravennum pudiya vanil - Nenjathi killadhe
  awesome interludes, best WC orchestrations in IFM,
  2. ed edodho ennam valarthan - nice tune, smooth and crisp music, and great table beats
  3. Padum neram idudhan idudhan - one of IR's best dance nos, catchy music, feet-tapping beats
  4. Kadhal oviyam - alaigal oiyvadhillai - just for the veenai bits in the second interlude
  5. Edho mogam edho dhagam - already included, cool song
  6. mella mella ennai thothu mannvan un - valakai -
  great violin interludes
