Friends,
QUITE nauseating!
There was no doubt on where the 'charity' money will go. I never raised that. Please refrain from bringing that up. Quite nauseating to see such postings like sparing few rupees. It shows 'absolute' immaturity.
SK sir,
MGR poems quote panni oru real fight pola erukkey. I am not laughing at the efforts of TiS, as a freedom of speech/IR fan, I expressed my opinion. There is no need to quote that people who are expressing opinions as headstrong. It is totally unwarranted. I would appreciate if you could refrain from doing so and project a negative image on others who does not do the 'jalra'.
Once again, please try to come to reality!! Nobody is against the release of TiS or many more symphonies from IR. It will be more welcomed when done with some dignity. Reaching the mass with a right approach is better than satisfying a handful of IR fans. Then, as said above, it will last longer among many.

Dear all,
As a sincere and true fan of IR i would like to bring out some info into this forum which might be new or obsolete.
1. The question of TIS coming out... i mean its release....
Well as far as i know IR did NBW and HTNI in his own interest and there was no ads i guess...it sold slowly and iam sure by now the audio compant would have realised what they have invested in it. And talking about the other unreleased albums including RPO....i vaguely remember that the issue was a copyright problem between IR and RPO...and it took to many years to get it sorted (or is it yet to be sorted) and other albums like Jaya jaya jayahey....it was produced by some person i dunno his name....it was said an answer to Vandemataram...but iam sure the producer backed out of the project leaveing IR high and dry...i am sure the same thing happened for all other projects...except India 24 hrs...hope many have this audio track...it is not as excellant as NBW and HTNI abut it is really good....
2. Regarding the $5 problem. Well every project needs money for... organising, mobilizing and executing. Well an audio company can be approached as many Intellactuals in this forum has said but do remember the audio company will add its $x profit to the original expenses and will market the same so the final price would be $x+y ( y being the the total cost involved). Just remember the factor $x will be certainly more than that of $y. So IR doesnot wants to get involved with an audio company... he needs the exact cost to be shared by the buyers and $5 philonthropists. Simple a sollanumna Tirupathy hundial a annathanathukku neenga podura kasu mathiri...neengha podura kasula ellorukkum sapadu podala but anga sappiduravanga sapadukku nammala mudinchatha panni irukomnu oru mana thrupthi avloh than....
3. Many in this forum has said its like IR begging....oru nalla kariyathukku yasagam ketpathu thavaru illai.... aanala patta sivaperumaney yasagam kettu irukkar(oru munivar veetil yasagam kettu kodukka onnum illai endra pothu antha veetil samithu irunthu keeraiyai sapittu munivaraiyum avar pathiniyaiyum asirvathitha kathai palarukku theria vaipillai)

dear friends,
when i expressed my opinion, my intention was not to see an amateur project or just even the news of such a project. others too expressed such opinion.
unfortunately, 'valid concerns' were not taken sensibly and were spiced up with a negative projection, that there were doubts on the charity money usage. It was never raised by anybody. Although it is quite logical to defend one's intention in such a manner, quite surprising to see it come from an educated crowd. Added to it, passing derogatory remarks on people with 'quotes' from poems. Very sad!!!! doesn't civilization improve at all??!!
on the whole, it is not a nice way to deal with 'objective' criticisms.
whether TiS is released with dignity or not, I will be one among the many to buy the CD. Nevertheless, I will be quite unhappy if it is done as an amateur project or just ending up tarnishing IR's name.
good luck.

Bug,
Your message is loud and clear. This was the same point raised by Ramesh V.
Here it is:
"We dont want to make this an amateur project that will bring disgrace to any party concerned."
If I have captured your concern in the above sentence, let us not repeat it over and over again. This is my humble request.
Point taken. Be assured that it will not happen. When the time arrives, the right kind of people will be involved to take it forward.
At the same time, I urge you and Ramesh to continue raise any valid concerns that you may have.

Just curious. Is there any interview from IR about this TIS? Like in a magazine or etc?
My guess is, if IR comes openly with this, it will have more effect.

how much we can say IR is the pioneer of the next big jazz-soul-blues-country-folk-country thing.
so, have no fear IR fans. Whatever IR has done and is doing is all going to fill the void of the new category of everything in a seamless blend from one composer.... what da ya say?

one excerpt of the above (u can see the West is catching up pretty fast to IR' musical approach and that is a good thing for anything done by IR to be accepted around the world)
From the Chicago Tribune
Who's the next big jazz-soul-blues-country-folk thing?
The major labels are looking far and wide for another Norah Jones. Can lightning strike twice?
By Joshua Klein
Special to the Tribune
October 19, 2003
"Allison Russell, one of Klein's compatriots in Po Girl, sees Jones' success as a sign that some of those categories might become irrelevant. " I think that what's happening is that people are tired of the sort of regular mainstream music that's a little more formulaic and rigid," Russell says. "Maybe there's more of a climate for eclectic music, and an artist doing lots of different styles. In that way, maybe it's made it a lot more accessible for people to hear what we're doing. I don't think of us necessarily in the same vein as Norah Jones, though we do have people say we remind them of her."
Erin McKeown, whose third album "Grand," released last June, confidently encompasses jazz, pop and almost everything in between, isn't sure how Jones' success might affect artists such as herself. "The record industry, in general, has a problem with not knowing what to do with its own success," she says. "The record industry will see a hit and then look for copies.
"It's very obvious when someone is trying to be Norah Jones and not succeeding," says McKeown, who holds a degree in ethnomusicology from Brown. "I think people understand that a fluke might happen, but I don't know that people have learned yet. But as a listener and as a fan, I'm excited that her record did well, since it's not traditional. For [the record industry] to learn something from it would be a radical shift in their thinking." "
