No one has replaced Kannadasan

Kannadasan has written songs which profound meanings and a moral in every song.
ever since his death, there has been no one to take his mantle.His every song conveyed a meaning, something could be learnt from his lyrics.
But the situation has changed a lot now.
could this be attributed that the lyricists now are incapable of wriiting such songs or its the audience who dont want to hear those kind of lyrics?
could this be attributed to western influence on Indian Culture?
Hey wake up guys! What happend to Tamil culture, culture of India?
I would like to hear the responses from the makkal of tfm.

  i think that palani Bharati 's song are much more decent.Kadalukku mariyadai lyrics were good and decent too.
  It is upto time to see who takes the mantle of kannadasan.
  more over shivaji Ganeshan is a glutton , who does seldom acts as he normally overacts, is wrong in comparing kannadasan with VM

  Udhaya and others: What about Vaishali Kannadhasan to carry on his legacy? No one has replied to her, being his daughter, doesn't she deserve a mention? I haven't seen her work, so please give me an insight....or is it that she's so awful that no one will tale about her? My other thought is that she's the Daughter and not Son, so she doesn't deserve a mention....Thanks in advance.

  Don't be playing the gender card. I haven't heard/read Visaali's poetry or lyrics. If she is good she should get every opportunity. The Tamizh film industry is definitely chauvenistic and she might have problems getting in. Maybe she is more interested in acting, as someone pointed out her acting in "Vaanamae Ellai".
  When I was talking about legacy, I was talking about Kannadhaasan making sure that no one can emulate his name,i.e., no one can become a Kannadhaasandhaasan. That's all. I will be the among the first to celebrate it if Visaali made it big as a poet. SK and I were bemoaning the fact that there weren't any female poets in TFM in another thread, so quite a few of us in DF would like to see female poets thrive in TFM.

  udhaya and Geetha, a new female poet by name Thamarai has penned the lyrics for couple of songs in 'iniyalavale'. She seems to have attracted the attention of many directors and has been signed by
  Vikraman,KsRavikumar,sekar etc.Let us hope and wish that he stays in the field for a long time

  Geetha & Udhaya:
  
  Vishali Kannadhasan is yet to make any impact in
  TFM. She is very young and so there is still a
  possibility that she will come out as a shining
  star lyricist. She started off as an actress in
  KB's movie, 'VaanamE ellai'. It seems she wrote
  her first TFM song in the movie, 'Nenjaththai
  thodu' (MD: SA Rajkumar); the song is: 'sElai
  kattum sOlaikkuLLE ammammaa oru sembaruththi
  pooththirukku'. It seems she has also written
  songs for some vague movies such as 'andha naaL',
  'kuyil thOppu', 'en kaaviyamaanavanE' etc. She
  also has plans to write and produce a movie
  titled 'kavinjar magaL'. She has an interest to
  do well, both as an actress and as a lyricist.
  But, as I already said, she is yet to make a
  mark. It would be nice to see her succeed.

  Kannadhasan Vs Vairamuththu arguments
  continue in this week's Kungumam (26th June 98 issue).
  Last week's issue that I mentioned earlier gave
  (mostly) the views of Kannadhasan supporters.
  This week's issue is full of views of VM supporters...
  Manirathnam, Balakumaran, Rajesh Kumar, Director
  Rajeshwar, Prof. Periyardhasan, Prof. Su. Shanmugasundaram
  (the one who wrote 'Vairamuththu varai' book)
  kaviyarasu Naa.Kamaraasan and many others.
  They basically agree with Nadigar Thilagam's
  view. For the next weeks's issue, Kungumam is
  planning to conduct a 'kalandhuraiyaadal'
  involving people from both troops, and publish

  Sathya, Udhaya, Ramki: Thanks for that, it's good to see females entering the film industry for their brains and not looks. The Iniyavale songs are really good, so it looks like she'll make a mark. It's similar in Carnatic music where Lalitha Dasar is one of the few acknowledged composers and she's absolutely great. Thanks again for your responses, they've cleared up a lot for me.

  Pl. do not compare Vairamuthu with Kannadasan. Vairamuthu is no where near to Kannadasan on any front. He uses words with out any meaning which my computer can do it.

  There is no replacement for this great maestro who made the tamils feel the spirit of the situation without complicating the song.
  Long live his fame and name. Vishali, his daughter is busy with TV episodes on public talking and also suffers the same syndrome which the star children suffer when they take up to their dad's profession, ie., reluctance in recognition of their talents by thankless tfm people.

  Its absolutely amazing to know that people compare someone with a legend.
  Kannadasan's was a legacy, which is unmatched and unparalled.
  
  By virtue of wisdom, no one can ever come near the legend "kannadasan"
  
  if u wish to deny this please go and read "arthamulla indhumadham" and "kadaisi pakkam"
