  bs & pg - My choice of Manam virumbuthey was based on the fact that it provided so much enjoyment to all categories of listeners. None of us have heard of Motherland's Super Instinct and I don't think we will, in the future. :-)) What one likes is based on the feelings it evokes and the real happiness that springs from the heart. So please grant us that - and allow us continue enjoying the song. :-)) I also know Akila Akila is a blatant copy of Buffalo Soldier, but what can I do? I also like that song......

  Ravi - Thanks for your comments. I really don't think it is necessary to make a seperate page of the results, unless if you insist. If anyone goes into this query in future, they will be able to see the intro, the voting, the results and the conclusions, all at one go. I think Rajan has done a very good job of compiling the results.

  Ippo kooda solvein, Ennai thaalaatta varuvaala thavira matra paadalgal ellam IR-in standard-il illei yendru. But as an Election Commisioner, I tried to maintain a neutral stand. (However, as a normal human, I could have failed in this aspect some times.) But if every IR fan (or fanatic) say that KM is a great album, who am I to differ?

  NOV and Bhaskar:
  
  I finally got the VCD of KM from my friend and saw it. A movie
  that started nicely -- lot of fun -- until the usual TF quarrels
  and fights started dominating and spoiling the movie -- but
  luckily saved by an interesting and happy climax. Overall, a very
  good, decent and enjoyable movie.
  
  Coming to the songs-- I repeatedly heard the songs many times.
  ennai thalaatta varuvaaLO is definitely a wonderful
  song. Previously I have listened to this song only on Malaysian
  Radio, whose reception in Sing is still poor. So the song didn't
  impress me before. It even appeared to me that the song comes to
  a sudden death somewhere in the middle. Only when I heard it
  on CD I found that there is a long, light humming present (here, in
  the movie Vijay looks around in all directions and imagines as if
  Shalini is there at a distance). The flute piece that picks up
  the tempo soon after, is brilliant and very catchy. IR stamp!
  3/4th of the first line of the charaNam reminded me of another
  song. Hariharan has sung this song very well. I was told that
  there is an IR version of the same song. But it was missing in
  the VCD. Overall the song is wonderful. I can understand why
  it got the most votes. I also see how Bhaskar is literally living
  on it as if it is food! I am sure IR as well as Fazil realized
  that this is the song of the movie; because, this was
  the only song tune appearing again and again in the bgm -- how many
  times? -- I lost count. The other songs of the movie are good, but
  nothing great. (I don't understand why so many people voted for
  ayyaa voodu.)
