Why ARR's BGM is still bad even after 10 years??!!

Surprising! Even after 10years, ARR still a kid in BGM. Even in his latest KM, BGM lacks a lot. Especially in the scenes where the BGM need to lift the scene. Does his musical talent is LIMITED only to the songs or his CREATIVITY misses something whenever it comes to BGM or does he need MUCH MORE TIME to compose it? Yeah, i agree perceptions differ. Lets see how it goes.....

  So peeps thinks that a King has to do everything in town including fixing the pipes, scraping the fungus from drain channels, weeding the lawns etc.
  I beg to differ. IMO, ARR has planned his career excellently. Instead of spending time doing about 300 movies in 10 years, including crap movies which need to be flushed down the loo, he has done only about 50. With these 50, he has got recognised all over TN, has spread his horizons beyond regional and is now setting his sight beyond India, bringing Indian music to an international audience.
  This is the way of a King. There is no point pouring quality and speed into garbage. It is important to focus on what is worthy and leave aside the thrash..

  If I said all his songs were hits, will u be able to prove me wrong with real evidence?
  The point I'm trying to make here is this. There is no objective way of trying to actually prove which song has been a hit. Albums, yes. Songs, no. We can quote sales statistics (no matter how unreliable) to prove an album was popular or otherwise. Wit singles, this becomes a shade harder. I can quote many singles. But experience tells me that others will
  simply disagree with me and there will be no way to prove who is right and who is wrong. If it becomes a matter of personal opinions alone, there is no point in going further.

  I can give u not one, but 10 reasons...the question is: will u be able to give me 10 reasons why he is not King anymore or at least dispute (wit proper evidence) the 10 reasons tat I put fwd?
  If u cant, and will only go back to ur cricket analogies, subjective & opinionated statements, keep on repeating ur old posts wit slightly different sentence structures, then there is no point in me putting the effort to give u a worthy reply.

  why not-look at the hit/down the loo ratio.You want to tell us why he is not the king in tfm anymore?all his ventures in tamil last year have been disasters.The last hit in tamil from ARR was tenali(songs were not among the better aspects of the movie)-that was in 2000.

  I think we(atleast I) misunderstood the concept of King..What i meant to say is that the recent ARR songs are not HITs and he is no more a King now...i ddint take a span of 10 years..i just took the last three months..
  I agree with u that HIT songs is a very subjective matter..so lets leave the HIT matter..
  I feel that his songs were overshadowed by songs from other MD's in the recent past..I strictly consider TV as my judgement criteria here and not on cassette sales as i am a TV maniac..:-)

  I sincerely feel that this statement is unwanted..
  Particularly the last line..Do u mean that people who go to IR first approached ARR and after ARR's rejection went to IR?Frankly do u feel that ARR will give a better score for Azhagi?Kasi?Or Thangar or Vinayan wud go for ARR for these movies?
  The truth is "IRukku vara vendiya movies IRukku kandippa vandhu serum.." same for ARR..So please dont put IR in the ministers list..

  You are confusing a film becoming flop to a music becoming flop.
  
  Take for example sangamam, the film is utter flop , but Nagarajan made more than the spent mony on cassettes alone. Sangaman was a great hit . I was in a village near thiruchchendur, Sangaman was there all over. People across all agares likes it.
  
  No body can deny that ARR album hit rate is like Bradman's hit rate. But, I agree statistics is not all that.

  I was only trying to point out ARR has had his share of flops.Whynot has made it sound that ARR only chooses winners.so many of flop movies in the above list had hit songs.She was obviously pointing at you know who saying he has composed music for 300 movies without selecting the winners.My argument is,when a new film is started,no one puts the pooja without expecting atleast a moderate hit.If only established names count,IR would not have worked with so many newcomers-most recent egs are bala and thangarbachan.Also by working only with established names ,while he had the advantage of good marketing,ARR has to accept it when the films bomb.In the above lists there are so many hits-I will be deaf if I say songs from KK,for eg,are flops.I liked sangamam songs esp varaha nadhi karaioram..

  Yoddha-flop,(have u seen the film?? It's a malayalam film for ppl who didnt know. And it was a huge hit, A HUGE HIT. My relatives in Kerala persuaded me to see the movie, and i must say, it was very cute, a good mix of comedy... The BGMs were mindblowing!)
