  I am very much impressed by the all the songs in the Movie. Especially Kichu Kichu and Tipu Tipu..
  great work by ARR and a ExcellentWork by the singers.All appreciations to Reena for doing a wonderful Job( being a non-tamilian )..her pronounciation was cool.

  Balu had played a major role in Padayappa. Sadly there is nothing much Balu'ee'
  in Baba.And I was deeply impressed when i heard Bombay for the first time. Its still my all time favourites.
  Esp..Kannalane.. where rahman comes up with his swaramgal... kahanaa hii kya ( in hindi ) proved that Rahman can

  Well I heard the songs a couple of time yesterday. Kichcu kitchu was the only one I liked then, but today morning I heard Dippu Dippu in Radio..(Surprised), you know what, that song is in my lips since then..I am long to go back home to listen all the songs again and again. I myself inventing tunes..(imagining they are the original tunes) and humming songs of Baba.. ARR's magic is a slow poison...Keep Rajini's image in front and listen, I am sure the songs suit him.
  
  That "Thayum neeye" sounding similar to "Kalayum neeye" is nothing special. It is based on Kalyani I beleive. This part also comes in first stanza of "Malayoram mayile" song from some IR movie.
  
  So don't get confused..check for the right raaga.

  Chech out the "Malayoram mayile " song. In that one stanza starts some thing like this "poomara ..." Sing that slowly, you will get "Kaalaiyum neeye" and "taayum neeye". Edho kelvi gyanam

  MY GOD ...tippu tippu sounds damn similar to first song in 'TIME' by IR...especially the beats and chorus...donno what rehman's manipulations....sometimes...especially when there is no time he just follows some existing tunes

  Are you refering to "Ninaiththapadi ennalum vilayaadu" song. If that then you are absolutely...WRONG. No way of similarity. Just by having dholaks and fast pace, one song doesn't match. In this two there is not even an iota. ARR's majorly a punjabi folk based (Like TLOBS). The Time song has only traces of Bhangra.
  
  If you are genuine, then you will agree. If you want vambu, then come lets have it.

  I heard the BABA songs and I think except a song or two, not all will impress at the first hearing. But since it's done for Rajini, after the Film release, most of them will become a HIT. But compare these songs, to ARR's ROJA. Rahman is yet to come with such a great hit film (mainly by the sheer beauty of then songs).

  I gotta agree with Nagas on the pronounciation... Reena Bharadwaj has not done well in this song.. probably Sadhna or kavitha would have done better... The only plus point in that song is SPB covering up for Reena's mistakes.. IMO, ARR should have kept SPB in the lead and Reena in the background of that song..A decent(definitely not a great one) song wasted by a wrong singer...
