YSR seems to be working with a different style (like ARR ??) by giving credit to the musicians working in the album. I guess, he is stating that he is making no compromises in the production. The amount of effort he is putting even for a supposedly ordinary director like Kasthuri rAja (??) shows that he is taking his job seriously. Anybody know whats his pay like ? ( I think it is going up with every new release).

Your comments on TI (Thulluvatho Ilamai) was encouraging. Additionally, you can write where we can get these songs in web, or in US stores. U probably can't understand the eagerness I have in some way procuring this album...Makkalukku ithu romba useful aana info..

kiru,
i think a film music album is not only a product of the music director .i think that is a team effort.you have to give credit to the director of the film and the lyricist.there is no thing called an ordinary or an extraordinary director.
why..kasthooriraja might want to switch lines.he might want to become one of the best..who knows..is there any restrictions for a human being to beocme the best? let's wait and see what he has for us..then we will comment.even agathian directed some stupid mvies before directing kathal kottai.these are the guys who work under tremendous pressure..we never know what made them to make such a stupid movies.some get the oppurtunities and make nice films.kasthooriraja directed only movies with folk color all the time.may be he has the talent to direct a nice city film.who knows? i think he has done a very good job in extracting best out of yuvan.thulluvatho ilamai is a nice example of team effort

Fliflo.,
Neenga solRathu puriyuthu, But I really donno where you can get TI in web or in US, I got the cassette in Bangalore - in a small shop near my house on the very first day the album was released :-)
One thing I would tell you is this - get the album somehow, Miss paNNakkuudaatha album ithu, as I said earlier, this is not the best from him, but you can defenitely see the dedicated work of YSR.,
Today morning I observed something - 'TheeNda theeNda' tune has some sililarities with 'Azhagana Ratchasiyee' (Particularly in places where Bombay Jayashree sings 'Unathu maarpilee enthan nagangaLee, podum ooviyangaL'), Are they based on same Raga ? yaaraavathu experts sollungappaa !

NagaS;
Thanks for your info. Neenga nalla irukku, miss pannakoodathunnu sonna, I feel ippove bangalore vandhu cassette vaangi varanumnu thonudhu. Till I lived in Frankfurt, it was easy to get exclusively new tamil cassettes as there were so many srilankan tamilian-run shops around. Now, I am living near Pittsburgh, the shops around are mostly run by North Indians. I could not get any new tamil cassettes in right time. That's OK. I feel, Bangalore is a great place to get tamil cassettes... Malleswaram 8th cross (number of shops), HMV house-brigade road are really wonderful places to get what you want. Right?
Thanks Naga once again for the info. I control myself for few more days.

i listened to yuvan from aravindan till thulluvatho ilamai..and i feel this is the best of yuvan..this album has variety which he lacked in dheena and other albums..he sounded pathetic in dheena..but this album proved he could do better than any mds here.

I heard the album Thulluvatho Ilamai. I was verry hooked on this cd. The first song, Ithu Kathala sung by YSR has a fresh youthful feel. He is introducing different style of music in this piece.Probably the best track on the album in my opinion. The song Theenda Theenda, featuring twice on the album impressed me very much. Both versions were good, but I preferred Bombay Jayshree solo rather that BJ with Unnikrishnan. The song shows some carnatic knowledge and the fusion with western beats is phenomenal. Kanmunne sung by YSR and Timmy is also very melodious and their voices are blnded well in this song. Nice lyrics reflecting college pasanga. Vayathu Vaa Vaa by Harini and Sreenivas, is one of the best tracks on the album. very flowing music and they sound superb in it. other two songs are okay, not much to write. Venkat Prabhu has sung with Chithra sivaraman in Neruppu koothadikkithu and Final track, Kaatrukku features Harish, Harini and Febi. I think this is one of YSR's best efforts and it shows that he has great talent and will go far in this industry.I hope this film will support the songs of YSR. I hope Nandha will give YSR the opportunity to show his potential by having a movie that works well with the tracks

The next album after Friends. Excellent work by YSR. I hope he will rule the TFM field hereafter. THE caseete sale is quite brisk. I checked many shops in Trichy, Madurai and Chennai. It is moving extrmely well in Madurai than chennai. Koothtadichu is already a big hit among the youths. Good.

As far as "Thulluvatho ilamai" album is concerned we can see a genuine and aggressive effort from YSR to prove himself in the field. While he goes for western melodies in two songs, he tries two carnatic blend songs and over all it is an excellent work to listen.
The songs are catchy, no doubt but to sustain the interest in the album, the movie also has to be released in tandem(atleast within 40-60 days). otherwise, even though the album is good, people will forget it and it will be a wasted effort. Hope kasthuriraja realises that this is a great asset he has got for his film and make some moves to get it released. There has been no info abt the movie except the music. If kasthuri raja gets music like this for his movie, then think abt the other talented guys.
Coming back to music, the album compels us to listen.A diff style altogether and a wonderful recording. Hope other directors get to understand this young lad's talent and bring abt more talent from him.

Yuvan has done a great job on Thulluvatho Ilamai. There is a lot of variety and you can expect to see hear a different style on every album. They don't have any similiaraity.

Guys
I recently listened to Thulluvatho Illami
Is a very wonderful album by YSR.
I dont know why any site gave any review for this new fresh sound by YSR to me this is best effort so far worth listening to.
Extraordinary !! Wonder if someone can write a review.
Only thing is the movie is by Kasthuri Raja
but you listen to music you will assume the director will Shankar or somebody like Kathir
Or Kasturi Raja has extracted a good sound by YSR all songs are melodious and groovy.
YSR good work keep it up.
Hope somebody does market this album well.
