  RR(admin) had mailed me saying that images problem has been fixed. So please be relieved.
  
  naaLai indha vELai paarththu - a small anecdote - Susheela in an interview has said that the start "paal pOlave" did not come out exactly as MSV had wanted it to be. She almost cried and MSV consoled her. Now I wonder how this song would have sounded if it came out exactly as MSV had wanted this to be...probably an overkill ?

  It is beautifully sung by PJC & PS, tuned by IR, written by Sudarmathi. The raaga I was told, is Gunalochini. Experts like IR,MS and satsona please clarify. What is the aro/avaro for this raaga? Urgent. Thanks in advance.

  Ram, strictly speaking that song breaks the NNMK rules in a couple of places. But the interludes definitely point at NNMK. The song itself has a few instances of prayogas below the lower "ni" note and upper "ni" note - which is ok for a film song I guess. I would say the song is intended to be in NNMK.

  forgot to mention this: bhArathiyAr mentions nAdhanAmakriyA to be the rAgam for a lot of his songs but i dont remember hearing even one of them in this rAgam :-( (i think he also uses punnagavarALi a lot!)

  The song kAtru veLiyidai kaNNammA (kappalOttiya thamizhan)
  is mentioned as mohanam in the tfm page raga list.
  But is that right? I was trying to find the notes.
  The line
  amudhootrinai oththa idhazhgaLum seems to go as
  ssmmm mm gmmg
  and so m1 seems to come in. Can someone confirm if
