Hi guys,
I am going to india soon.If you want to show your disapproval against ARR's plagiarism please do reply to this new thread which I will eventually print and give it to ARR personally so that he realises that people are not dumb and listen to his fancy copying of music from abroad and boast himself as a musician.
Even his latest much talked "Vande matram" has one songs which has direct lift of a tune from Madonna's latest "FROZEN".
I don't know how he thinks that he can get away with these fancy copying.I think it is time for us to show him that we are not dumb.

Hi Guys ---
Greatest joke of 1998 AR;s recording is a myth...Ha ha ha ha ha ha
It is high time you guys should go for a hearing Aid,
The argument here is not to compare AR and Raja - Every one copies .. if Raja copies it does not become right - you guys only higlight AR's mistake. There are timing mistakes in Raja 's score.. hear the keyboard opening piece in Sempoove -- abs (time lag) - He adds a delay to the keyboard score makeing it more worse.
PongaAppa - Raja - Raja - Raja - you guys dont know anything other than is veda mantram...
My point is AR is not alone the cuprit all the MDS have copied....so there is not point cribbing on AR alone.. .

I have nothing to say about re-recording/BGM/copying etc.
Just go home and listen to ARR's recording of female voices in particular.

'The Emperor has no clothes' is just a metaphor - referring to the Hans Christian Anderson (?) tale.
I did not think that this metaphor can be interpreted this way !

pg, En swami vaayai kindugireergal. Ithhanai naeram Amaithippadaiyaaga irundhavanai, Athiradippadaiyaga maatrivitteergal.
I need to object to a couple of your musical accusations as they fall outside the category of the prarthanai club members'accusations:
1) Comparing Ella Fitzgerald's recordings to Jeans reproductions is a fallacy. Jazz recordings are copyrighted to the studio that owns the tracks and when being reissued and remastered digitally, the studio hires the best techinicians and reissues these tracks on its own. Where Tamizh CDs are concerned, they seem to be open game for everybody. I think I can play an old LP and record it with the hiss and scratches and issue it as a CD (for example, listen to the EMI CD releases, you'll hear the LP hiss). The CD quality is no reflection of the original studio recording quality. The Jeans CD I have, as well as the prerecorded Jeans TAPE from India both sound great. What's the bet that your CD company and the one I have are different? My Jeans CD also has songs from the movie "Rathnam".
2)If you want to talk about female singers and PISIRU, this is where my ulcer bursts its blood. My rebuttal is a single word, PAVATHAARANI (look up pisiru in a dictionary it has her picture).
3)Asha Bonsle, oh let's see, the GODAWFUL rendition of "SHENBAAAAGAMAE SHENBAAAAGAMAE" from that Dowser Paandi movie comes screamingly to mind.
I haven't been this irritated since Jerry Sloan kept Foster out of the game, since Karl Malone went for prissy layups instead of dunking the ball!

Hi Udhya
Super - I did not wany to come in again
Pisuru --- excellent Definition...
PISURU is defined as Bhavatharni's voice..
only credit she has is Raja's Daughter...
Idhalllam ututu suma AR copied from Madonna
--- Ar lifted from x and y and Zee ..
100% polambal...
(I am a bulls fans waiting to put the bulls flag in my car this friday night)
(I am very happy now after being yesterday when rodman forced Malone to score 0 in 2nd and 0 in 4th - Ostertag must have been in to stop the bulls rampage in last few mins - J.Saloneke than Valicham )

Udhaya :
I have the original Pyramid CD Jeans/Kadhala Kadhala/Uyirodu unakkaga.
I do not want to discuss IR/Bavatharini/copying/inspirations etc. Only quality of recording. I don't know why you get that into this. I AM TALKING ONLY ABOUT QUALITY OF RECORDING !.
I also have original Pyramid CDs of Mr.Romeo/Mettukudi/Kalluri Vasal.
I also have original Pyramid CD Iruvar/Minsara Kanavu/Mr.Romeo.
I don't what you understood by 'pisuru' just listen objectively to ARR's recording of voices. They sound like they stand too close to the mike and there is a echo noise. And this happens in CD after CD after CD of ARR.
I only buy original CDs of ARR. If they do not match original studio recordings what can I say - except what I have already said before.
On one hand ARR is supposed to have the best equipment; his recordings are supposed to be the best; he spends all his earnings on buying equipment; he imported special equipment for Jeans but OTOH his recording quality does not even match 60s recordings - remastered from scratchy LPs when there was no digital stuff.

Hi Pg,
You need to change your CD player. There seems to be a problem in your CD player. The instrument and voice clarity has not been so good for any recording before AR. I dont agree what you say.
(If the CD is the Parthasarty Cd from Newyork - I agree Most of the Raja songs come from there - it has hiss - very low quality recording)
(Guys any one own those Parthasarthy CD's - I have few of them....Elame Sutham )

I have one of the best CD players (Marantz 5 CD changer) with Marantz SR680 Dolby Digital receiver coupled with Energy speakers and Energy subwoofer.
I also have a Panasonic DVD player and sure enough the same problem occurs. Tomorrow I will post the exact places where the problems occur.
I do not have any problems with western CDs.

Srikanth:
The purpose of this thread according
to Balaji is to reveal ARR's unauthorized
copying of western tunes and this may be
handy when he meets and talks to ARR.
(whether he can do that or not is a different
issue)But look at your responses; they're going
in different directions which are not relevant
to this topic at all.
IR copied --> ARR's jingles ---> ARR's recording --> Bhavatharini's voice.
Anything you want to say about this topic,
I mean, the real topic?
(I'm still waiting for your list
of ARR's 1000 jingles)

pg, now your stance becomes a bit clearer. You don't like the way ARR presents female voices. Well, that's hardly an objective view, that's your preference. ARR records singers the way Western Rock stars record their songs. He does several separate tracks and then mixes them to his heart's content with instrumental interludes.
You seem to prefer all the sounds emanating from one area, as in Ella Fitzgerald's stage shows. And by the way, pg, Ella is a siren, a DIVA. She should not be compared to the subdued TFM pop singers, because there's no parallel there.
I'm fine with the way, ARR presents his singers. I brought Pavathaarani/IR/Asha Bonsle into the discussion because they define and originated PISIRU (the dictionary definition) which you attributed to ARR. I would love to leave them off this discussion, sure.
Also, check your equalizer if you have one, maybe you have it set too high on some levels. Also, your Treble setting may be too high.
Lastly, my CD recording is not PYRAMID. I'll look it up and let you know if you are interested.

I had to post reply's for them.
(Typical raja fan always attacks AR leaving others (lik DEVA/Sirpi/) you are now after me leaving others....(PG/UDAY/ETC)
Regarding AR's 1000 i did try yesterday to talk to noel ... I could not get line to kodambakkam

Srikanth:
Only one thing I want to know
whenever people are talking
about ARR's copying, why do
you guys drag IR's name into
the discussion. Why don't you
guys simply argue whether ARR's
copying or not?
Why should i believe someone
saying something without any proof?
Not only you, whoever claims doesn't
matter, come with the list or don't
say anything if you don't have the list.

Hi MPR ,
When you say ARR has copied do you have a written proof.. I am sure 90% is verbal . there is no document proving that just few tracks from the CD you hear and musical knowledge you have.. . Also this is not a court for me to prove with documents. I had been associated with film music industry until some time ago, I am passing on words and other informations which I hear from others in the field. I cannot ask them for proof I need not justify this to you - since I know you well thru our healthy TFM discussions - I am justifying myself.
if you dont belive me I dont care! I mean it,.
Regarding bringing Raja into the scene - - I told AR alone does not copy - every one copies including Raja.
Good Bye from this topic
Thanks
Srikanth
