  Have you heard lakeer (songs from the tamil movie RHYTHM) songs? Rahman always adds some extra sounds to hindi songs, ehy does he do that? Rahman had done it with kadhalan, bobay, indian in hindi version.
  I like daler mehndis "nachley" suberb handling by daler.

  Neither IR or ARR can assure a hit and ARR working harder/spending more time will not help. The best approach is to generate lots of tunes like IR and have the producers/directors select it.
  
  IR/ARR have given hits in recent times.. ARR gets better marks with the recording aspect. but IR cannot be flanked out coz Virumandi and PM kicks royal butt!!
  
  Again, i dont see ne resemblance.
  
  Speed: that is not ARR style, and his hardwork is really paying off.

  MIl, a great advantage in IR's method is: as the number of tunes composed increases it becomes very difficult for anyone to find out any similarities between one tune and another.
  God knows how many tunes are there which sound like "malai kovil vaasalil" and "ilankathu veesuthe" and such...
  
  But due to the small number of tunes ARR composes, any such similarities are highlighted to the core. For ex. "vennilave/chanda re" sounds close to "sunta hai mera khudah" from pukar.
  
  I think it is pretty brave of ARR not to take IR's route and compose tunes by the dozen and releasing them. It is a big risk to deal with a few tunes, working on them, building up layers upon layers of music. All this hard work could end up to nothing if the song is not a hit. IR eliminated this risk by the sheer number of tunes he composes/composed.

  As a matter of fact, tracing the linguistic origin, malayalam had its origin from tamil. Malayalam had its origin in 9th century. It got separated from tamil language, and hence you find 'zha' also in malayalam. So, indeed the tamil language teachers were correct in saying that 'zha' is only available in tamil language. Tamilz alive for a longgg time with a unique script, alive and kicking !! just fyi ...

  I dont think IR eliminated the Risk.
  
  In my opinion he is a very natural composer and very quick.. though we talk about resemblence, the highlight was IR did not have the resemblance that tantamounts to a lot when he was giving continuous hits.
  
  ARR on the other hand has to cater to a much more wider audience owing to his commitments, might be that is what is pinning him down

  Tamils have no idea how to pronounce 'zha'. They say 'Valapalam' in a sickening manner! Each and every malayalee will pronounce zha, like pavazham mazha etc.
  
  
  SO whats the point of one language being more old than the other when the people have no idea of how to pronounce some letters inscibed in that language. If it is indeed true that malayalam is a spliut from TAmil then it is even more shameful on us Tamilians not being able to pronounce letters in our own language while those who copied are doing a brilliant job!

  What u say might be true that Tamil's dont know how to pronounce zha, but the fact that it is there cannot be denied.
  I guess Rakesh point was Malayalam split from Tamil so there is no surprise for Malayalam to have it, and hence we could say Tamil or Tamil derived languages have 'zha'

  Now do you accept IIR is always number one, which i stress.
  Look you can listen to IIR songs anytime of the year.
  And someone said ARR is going to get the 5th National award, he might have to kiss that dream bye bye.

  I know malayalam is more difficult than tamizh.
  It's got more tongue-twisting (nose-twister?? he.. he..) letters than tamizh.
  
  Thamizhil, 'zha' solla theriyaadhadhu ondrum kutramillai. Paadum podhu than keatka sagikka villai. Adhu thappu endru realize pannama iruppadhu than tappu. Our MDs should straight away reject those singers who can't pronounce it properly. I hated ARR for using utitand many others, USR as a singer, IR for using bhavatharini. MSV never did that. KVM never did that and MDs before him never did that. (latest vayatherichal is in E20U18, that 'gama gama' song. Enna oru tamizh sevai! pullarikkudhu! Andha George peter paradhesi enna paaduraanney theriyala. Ithellam thevaya? ARR-kku nichayam naragam thaan!)
  
  Anyway, 'zha' endra ezhuthai chinna vayasilrudhey solli pazhaga vendum. 'zha' mattum illai. Vallinam, mellinam ellam kooda. Adhai parents than encourage panna vendum. 'zha' vai 'la' endru solvadhu fashion aagi vittaal, adhai vida kodumai veru edhuvum ellai!
