Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”

Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.

Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

  What's wrong with Sidd acting?? He did his role nicely in BOYS, I feel. MLA role konjam over dhaan, but Shaam wud have also been odd!

  mani sometimes carries his gut-feeling too far...remember the heera as village girl character in thiruda*2, it was pathetic.....i'm pretty sure that sidd is the wrong choice.....MADDY was throwing tantrums in ennavale??? my god , wat do u xpect a guy to do when he is given such a movie to act in........

  Yuva is supposed to be movie of youth right?
  Indian Constitution says everyone above age of 25 can contest an election. When that is the case, there is nothing wrong in Mani projecting Sidd as a person who conetsts for MLA post.
  It looks bit odd. But thats what Mani's aim is..
  It will immediately strike everyone. How can a person so young become MLA?
  And there lies Mani's characterisation...

  I am not sure in what sense Heera was pathetic, looks, voice modulation (it was done by Suhasini) or body language.

  Siddharth was little expressive atleast from one movie, sham's face show no expression most of the times and lesa lesa was a classical example.
  Since Siddharth was maniratnams assistant he'd do better justice to the role.
