I am sure there are some friends there sharing my openion. Up to now, deva has never made any original music( we know that?). If you are keen you can trace the music back and end up in a old music (or old, present western or khana music). It is not just IR that he is copying; it starts from some poor khana musicians and goes up to western musicians. The skill of Deva is to mix very nicely others' tunes. (I like all songs. I really enjoy some of the khanna songs- the problem is I know the original ones and I am sure he has not composed any of the khana songs). Deva, sure made some nice songs that all of us might have enjoyed.
The fact is THEY ARE NEVER ORIGINAL.
OK. Now the point is this:
Can any one mention any song that they think that is something original from deva:
I give some examples
Pull veli pull veli
Mottu mottu malaratha mottu
thanga magan indru singa nadai pottu
and so on
all khana songs from the movie 'indu'
(they are not original-)
I need the help from those friends I mentioned in the beginning in finding the originals.

Udhaya:
Those were the days, when we used to derive some courage and hope from stalwart Dravidian leaders like Peraringar Annadurai. He had revolutionized the entire Tamilnadu with his pen. But even when he wrote those famous essays on leading magazines, he always chose to be anonymous. At those times the "punaipeyar" (for English people like you -pseudonym) he had for himself was KIRUKKAN. Does that mean he is a "coward"? A "Dada Webmaster" called me a coward for the same fact in one of the threads which I do not remember. Anonymity is not a dastardly act. I have been a staunch Dravidian for all these years, and the precise reason why I chose www.anonymizer.com is to fulfil the dreams of Aringar Anna.
You might ask why Anna? In fact the Deva brothers' camaraderie and the togetherness speaks of how much this "ANNA bond" can work for people to create great works. That is why I am coming under Anonymizer.com.
I have given you my email address and you can choose to write to me personally. I am trying hard at NPR to get a small time-slot for me to speak about Thenisai Thendral Deva and his contribution to Tamil Music. I will be happy if I can clinch that deal. I will keep you guys notified about the same.
So next time, when anyone comes through anonymizer.com, do not ward them off as "cowards". But pay them the due respects as you would do for the Dravidian Stalwart Arinjar Anna, who always chose to be anonymous during his writings.

DD, I had to remind myself that I was actually going through a posting in the "Tamil Music Discussion forum" after reading your contributions to this thread. We could do well without whipping up political overtones, least of all here. If the accolades you have showered upon Deva have its roots in your attempts to be an iconoclast (or a revolutionary according to you), (that is, reasons other than music itself) you are actually wasting all our time. If his music titillates your nervous system, well then fine, I will abide by the cliche "taste's differ", no problems at all. Psst....actually Deva has some decent original scores to his credit.
I was begenning to enjoy your postings,it was a refreshing break from monotony and boredome ( owing to the paucity of exciting threads of late) to see an ardent Deva supporter , but you see, you have spoilt it all by revealing the source of all the unhinged praises you let loose in his direction:-)

DD,
Pattukkoattaila pirandhavarellaam Kalyanasundaram aagamudiyaathu, punaipeyar vechchavanga ellaam paeraringar aaga mudiyaathu. I merely wanted any doubts about DD being me cleared that's all.
I second Sriram's post earlier, you are treading irrelevant ground (well you always have, but now you are making unholy references to other fields that have little to do with TFM). There may be a use for pseudonyms in politics or journalism, but in this forum, pseudonyms have mainly been used by malignant growths passing for humans who prefer to hide behind a pillar of anonymity to spew their impotent rage.
My earlier post was to clear my identity away from such lowlives. While I don't quite group you with other mean spirited pseudonym users, your warped sarcasm is wearing thin and is generally wasting a lot of real estate in this forum. Should the occasion come, I'll send you an e-mail. Until then, peace.

Udhaya:
I do not recollect spewing verbal attacks on you. All that I wanted to let you know was a historical fact of Annadurai. Again that does not mean that I am trying to inject politics in this forum. It would be my last wish! If I had hurt your feelings, then I wish to tender my unconditional apology. As a Thenisai Thendral Deva Sir fan, I would like to infuse into the fans' of this forum, a sense of modesty, humbleness and meekness. Please do not read too much in between lines for my "anonymity". If you still have questions, kindly contact anonymizer.com. Moreover everyone would appreciate that I haven't uttered any bad-words or vulgar dispositions. I might have mocked a couple of characters here and there and that too only when that was needed (infinitesimally small percentage compared to the attacks on our Thenisai Thendral Deva Sir!). I am pained to note that certain people, who are "bold"(according to your definition by NOT coming through anonymizer) are calling me, "dog", "devil", "fool", "insane" etc. When I do such things (which I will surely not do), you can brand me as a coward. Thanks sir!
Sabesan:
I am constrained to note that only when some positive criticism flows out, there will be discussion. If there is no positive thinking, then there is only going to be confusion. People asked me some points about Deva. I gave them...but nobody has commented on that so far. They asked me some original songs of Deva. When I gave, they chose not to answer back. When you guys are behaving in the most irrational way, how can you accuse me of hijacking this forum by my political comments, when this forum is already politicized?
Vijay:
IR got a chance at RPO (I still strongly believe he went for a boat ride in Thames rather than composing) because those people had not listened to his stuff. RPO failed to release his so-called symphony because they had a chance to hear to his composition later. Our Deva Sir would not commit that folly. He would make all the Scotts around the world to stop by his doorstep for an invitation to compose the Symphonies and Operas of 21st Century. Already his compositions are rocking Malaysia, Canada, Singapore.

DD, if your comment about IR going for a boat ride is a typical example of your 'beliefs', no one will take your views on Deva seriously - not that anyone wants to take Deva seriously.

I would be immensely happy to respond to your choice of songs. Let me finish up an important assignment here for my Professor. I am not fortunate enough like our Thenisai Thendral Sir to have people like "Sabesh & Murali" around me. Moreover, academic dishonesty and plagiarism are two great things that are frowned upon here in the US! Please do not read too much in between lines for this posting. My love and charm for our Deva sir is something that cannot be expressed in mere sentences.
Diwakar
Oh come on. I do not want to be "taken for a ride", by IR fanatics and therefore gave the "boat-ride similitude" for IR's Symphony Saga. Why do you want to make empty statements? Go ahead. Try to instil that basic confidence in me that IR really did what he wanted to. Throw me, Sorry, Present me that GREAT CASSETTE so that I too can hear about it. "Puli Varuthu Puli Varuthu" naa nambiduvoma enna? Nowadays it is very difficult to even convince an atheist that there is an entity called GOD. I am not that fastidious to believe. All that it takes, is give me convincing evidence and supportive materials to show that IR has composed a Symphony. Are you not even ashamed to talk about that, knowing fully well that your own great IR has failed to take YOU into his confidence. "Manthirathula Maangai Palukaathu". So please do stop giving empty statements. Support or substantiate your IR matter. Until then I will stick on to my guns only. I am not compelling you to believe in what I have to say regarding our Thenisai Thendral Deva Sir. I am a staunch supporter of Thenisai Thendral Deva Sir, and why don't you see that? When I am offering all the down-to-earth evidences in favor of Deva Sir, why are you guys not joining issue with me? All of you are just interested in pulling my legs (as well as my trousers, I guess).
Devathi Deva,

DD :
I do not know how fastidious you are, but I am sure even you are not that gullible to believe that IR went to London for a boat ride on the Thames and not for his symphony. Your analogies are indeed amusing and as is so often the fact with humour, exaggerated.
I am not IR's confidante but knowing the man's capability and his penchant for excellence, I can trust him to come out with the release of the symphony sooner than later. But if your only complaint against IR is that his symphony is not released, and therefore, he is of no consequence, you are to be pitied. You are missing the woods for the trees.
I am no atheist and I do not need any convincing about IR's abilities. My only regret is that the sobriquet 'Nothing But Wind' would have better suited the Thenisai Thendral who has neither the 'Then' nor the 'Isai' in his Thendral.
