Sam
Nice tune. I particularly liked the last 40% of it when the drum beats are heard. This kind of tune, I guess, is suitable for a nice orchestral ensemble.
Sridhar
Interesting tune. The beats are lively. You have a voice almost identical to MSV's, wow.
pKitcha
This is a lovely tune. It lingers in memory nicely precisely because of the long first line, IMO. I think the punalena line goes rough when it reaches the sindhippoagum line again - I guess it needs some polishing. I liked the intro piece too, although it could be a bit shorter as others suggested. Please complete the song - it would be nice to hear it as a whole.

Udhaya: I intend on completing the song soon. I have the saranam ready but I can't sing it good. Will post the entire song when I'm done somehow.
Kaumudi: No arguments there...the punalena transition is indeed shaky. I'll try to refine it.
Thanks for the comments, guys.

Sam,
I enjoyed listening to your composition. Very good. Thanks for your comments.
Rjay,
As always, thanks for the objective and wonderful feedback.
pkitcha,
I liked your version especially the orchestration. Ended too quickly before i could get into the mood. Looking forward to more.
Sridhar,
Very refreshing version. The lead melody was very different and the beats were too good. It reminded me of the "devadhayai kanden" song from the movie "kadhal konden".

Jay,
I would make my feedback with just one word that must explain it : 'scintillating'...
Great singing to a tune that had the luxury to be leisurely and relaxed in its conception. You are made of professional stuff, pal.

Jay...this is the kind of stuff that will(&should) make the alleged Indi-pop-ers hang their heads in shame. Really really beautiful composition!
Having said that, I'm not a big fan of the singer-switches-to-prose-mode :) but I guess that's something many others like.

Jay - wonderful composition - just the right kind of orchestration to enhance the beauty of the main tune. All your songs are so pleasant to listen to !!! Keep up the good work.
Is this the same Radhika???!!!!! Wow!!

Jay
Excellent! First congrats for the professional finish and full song.
Indian melody against an ambient backdrop! Percussion, piano work all show amazing attention to detail and the laid back feel shows your confidence. Great job!
The second interlude is mind blowing (poetic rendition against a slowly evolving backdrop). Especially Radhika's humming during this piece is well composed and well performed.
Couple of suggestions:
1. The piano work runs throughout, even though it is excellent accompaniment, because it is continuous, listener will soon switch off to this. So, consider taking it away at some places and bringing it back, so that it will be better heard afresh and appreciated.
2. You can consider delaying the entry of the Anurag until the second interlude, this will increase the impact of the song.
3. The recited poem is a bit long, and towards the end of it, the interest will dwindle and that is where you are giving the most emotional presentation against silence. Try shortening this a bit, short enough that somebody can listen twice and remember the entire words with feeling.
Great work, few more such releases, and you are not allowed in this amateur thread!!!

Friends,
Another interpretation of "Sindhi Pogum". Slow one. Pardon the weak vocal recording. I recorded while rest of the home was asleep. Only pallavi.

Da Vinci, Kitcha, IR, Rjay..and also othere who sent mail to me..
Thanks for your feedback. Glad you guys enjoyed it.
Rjay, Sridhar had also mentioned your point #2 earlier. would've been a herculean task to change it.
You other points are very valid too. right on the dot :)

JayK,
I concur with RJAY. I feel that "Mere Yaar" should be pushed further down. Let Radhika sing two verses completely.
And these kind of song, a scale change for "Meraa Yaar" will really make big difference at the end. Like a typical pop ballad.
The arrangement shows your confidence. Piano rolls are brilliant.

Thanks, Da Vinci, pkitcha IR, RJAY and SRidhar for your comments on the song. I am a big fan of JK's compositions, so was fun singing for him, as always..
And yes, Isai Rasigai(love your nickname), its me...

Slow mixdown. Unusual! Sorta controlled tune and new production texture.
Did you send the voice through a vocoder or phaser?

Jay, very nice work and great presentation of song...Superb!!!
I was expecting something new since you were posting after a long time and to my surprise it turned out to be another Pani Thirai in it's exactness...I am still having the hang over of your Pani Thirai:-)) I think it will be fair to compare this with your Pani Thirai song...
I will forget it and give a try...
First of all, you have shown a great maturity in making a song structure as your identity...I can tell you by listening to a song, if it's yours or not - There's a consistency in your work...I have listened to all your work, they have an identity of yours...i believe that even if u didn't make this song similar to Pani Thirai, i would have seen your identity and maturity.
Radhika and Anurag, great singing - Hats off that you fit into the jay's great song framework...I enjoyed your sweet voice, radhika...
In my opinion - just another recording session is necessary for
- female vocal track such that no breaking in high pitch notes
- after the recited poem ( which i loved so much ), male vocal track is having distictive pitch difference - this has immediately disturbed me.
Jay,radhika and anurag have performed a soulful song and looking forward for some more soulful songs than what it's now...
Best Wishes to all of you.
Regards,
Aditya

Hello Friends:
Please download my new composition "Wind".
Here's a synopsis of the theme...
Wind is Friend
--------------
A gentle breeze cools the home on a hot summer day. A colorful kite floats high above the heads of a picnicking family at play. The tinkling of chimes beneath a baby's bedroom window lulls the infant to sleep. With sails unfurled, a sailboat races toward the horizon.
Wind is Fierce
--------------
A hurricane roars inland, destroying homes and communities. Without warning, a thunderstorm rolls into town, dampening picnic plans. The slamming of shutters outside a baby's bedroom window shatters the infant's sleep. Surf's up, and the waves pound wickedly, whipping the sailboat toward the rocks.
Our relationship with the wind is often uncertain - Friend or Foe?

Oh, what a lovely composition! It creates such a pleasant, serene mood. Both Radhika and Anurag have sung wonderfully. This is the kind of contemporary song I thoroughly enjoy. Thank you. Kept humming your song for a long time.
The hold on "O mere yaar" in the song, I thought, was nice and created a lot of scope for improvisation. But there wasn't much - was it a conscious decision not to have any deviation from the original tune? And was this a tune set to lyrics or the other way around? Finally, The only thing that I thought the piece lacked was a good ending. The song sort of ended anonymously.
Radhika
Definitely, you have presented your best to date in this song. That humming during the "vachanam" was honey-sweet combined with the soft piano touches. So good was the listening pleasure that I kept rewinding that portion for a little while. Nice job.
