songs have comeout very well.

side A:

ele machi machi--- sung by kamal and udit narayanan. sung very well by kamal, but udit's tamil pronounciation is not impressive ,but maybe it is intentional bcos madhavan is an NRI in this movie. colloquial and catchy. very good road philosophy.

mounamae-- good melody. spb's daughter makes her debut.

naatukuoru--- kamal and others.nice song. a rarity in tamil cinema. a typical song which is often used in theatres and koothu=pattarai. nicely sing by kamal. nice wordings by pralayan

Side B:

Anbae Sivam: sung by kamal and karthik.best song in this album. very,very excellent wordings. a nice, beautiful.sensible song.kudos to vairamuthu.

ele machi machi--- a repeat of the previous song in side A. but it is sung by udit narayanan and tippu. i think the first song in side A was better than this. i doubt this song willl feature in the movie.its just to fill in the album.

poovasam-- sadhana sargam and vijay prakash.

starts off brilliantly. one of the best melodies of recent times.

  I too could conclude the way you have if I look at the film in a ultra positive way. But it is not so. Also, I am not talking about Kamal of the film Anbey Sivam. I am talking about kamal an actor who is a self proclaimed atheist. This film is just a spark or medium that started this debate. For Kamal as an Complete cinema man I have the highest regard (though I am a mad Rajni fan in my school days and colleges). I don't complaint about that. I am only annoyed by the double standards with which he talks and does things in public life.
  In films he talks about atheistic ideas where they are totally uncalled for. Examples were given already. But never ever even in one film he has substantiated those ideas...Are Kamal films like magazines which have these "thonukku seidhigal", with out any explanation?

  I do not think Kamal is an atheist heart of heart. He just pretends and talks like an atheist to get mass following of non-brahmins for his films. That's it. He poses like a strong man with big mush, muscles to appease the non-brahmin masses and atheism is another trik he uses for this purpose.

  May be so. But I must point out that throughout history there have been more atrocities committed in the name of faith and God than under any other pretext. From the crusades to jihad to 'war for peace', more innocent people have died in the name of theism than in the name of atheism, or even oil for that matter.   Kamal helped VS in this movie. Hungarian orchestra played to vS musicpieces. thats why the bgm and some songs sound great.
  Mounamae and Poovasam are simply superb. its a treat for your ears listen to them.

  Composer Vidyasagar's Bollywood debut is commendable.
  
  Maruth and Sudhakar Sharma have jotted the lyrics. Of the two, Sharma does a better job.
  
  `Kal Tak Main... ', the first song, has been sung well by Shaan.
  
  `Thodisi Shararat... ' is an even better melody, sung by Sonu and Sadhana.
  
  This love number, with a good background score, reveals the composer's class.
  
  `Do Dil Humne Tumko... ' and `Hum Aur Tum... ', solos with the same tune, by Sadhana and Hariharan, are the best of the album. Hariharan deserves a firm handshake for infusing pizzazz into the song. Sonu and Hema Sardesai follow a `Mangta hai kya' (`Rangeela') style in singing `Hey Chamma... '. `Karo Karo Salam Karo... ' is a typical street dance number, sung by Kay Kay.
  
  The melody in the background has a combination of drums, and this adds colour to the entire song.
  
  `Barah Se Class Nahin... ' is avoidable.

  First of all i want to congratulate kamal hasan and madhavan for their acting.
  This about the song -Yelo Machi Machi. i really dont know what the lyricst trying to say. He starts off the song saying puthi mari pochi.He talks about the thai pal (breast milk)
  and he goes to the extreme, saying thaipal pothai tharum and comparing to the saraya pothai.
  is there an scientific evidence for his claim that breast milk gives "pothai".
  I am a pediatric registrar who is involved with
  the mangement of newborns and infants and we know how difficult to convince the mother and parents about the importance of Breast milk and its advantages.Now songs like this will carry wrong message to the public. so we have to be careful while we are pinning the lyrics.hope this kind of mistakes wont happen in future .
