  Baba was released in Malaysia yesterday, I saw the midninght show. It was...well...very different, and very interesting. Definetely not in the league of any of his other movies. I am still trying to digest the plot, and I think I would have to see it again (at least one more time) to really grasp the whole plot.
  
  All previous "guesses" and "news" about the storyline is true, but there were more suprises.
  
  The movie ends with a word:

  I did not expect such a lousy music from AR arhman for BABA. Not at all good. What is happening ARR?
  Losing grounds in Tamil Music?

  it's time that decides the popularity of all rajni's songs. Just like padaiyappa, i belive we need to wait couple of weeks before we know the actual status of BABA's songs.

  Some of the Rajinidotcom Members have seen Rajini's Baba. The response from the fans is very very good. Baba really rocks. Rajini's style, dance and baba story is some thing different. Too much graphic is the only negative impact for this film.

  Baba has opened in more than 30 cinemas/cineplexes in Malaysia. A record! Some of these cineplexes are showing up to eight shows per day, meaning more than one screen is being shown. Three hours and five minutes is the complete movie.
  
  I heard that there is some kalavaram in Chennai and some people broke into some theatres and stole the film reels. And because of that the movie will not open today?

  the "sify" review seems to be from some guy in the PMK kaatchi :-)..... i read in some other place, that the 1st half is a *virundhu* for RK fans..... and the 2nd half is full of *thathuva maazhai*..... so i don't think its going to be a *let down*.....

  sabesan, everyone knows what to expect of a rajini movie... not all of his movies have stories or great screenplay... The fact is rajini's movies are entertaining and the question is whether BABA is entertaining.. I'll be watching it tonight and will let u know...

  Unmai - well, i should have been more *clear*.... look, its an RK movie - what else did u expect ? a story ? come on u got to be kidding..... i did not expect RK to come with anything other than this..... iam NOT a RK fan.... but there are 1000's out there, who *needs* this only from their *thalaivar*..... and this 1000's include many *software professionals* who are in USA too (i remember the huge whistle for PADAYAPPA in one of the AMC theatres in Bay area)..... so pls do not say he is *exploiting* UNEDUCATED.....
  
  all in all, its a *time pass* movie only that they expect from RK.... not a *thathuva* movie or a *heavy acting* movie..... it should have *fun*.... it should have a *style*..... it should have a *unique* word/pharase..... and this one i think has all.... i believe the 1st half is enough to make this movie a success.... PADAYAPPA had a *junk* 2nd half..... but the 1st half was enough for the RK's fans....
