I listened to all the three uploads.
First experiments: I liked the best. Especially the piano arpeggio is very nice. Your voice is very good. Calm.
Piano: I did not like the background, sounds like the accompaniment pattern from a keyboard.
Vocal: Voice is very clear and good.Melody is very dense. Please add more
silence between phrases. It seems so continuos without gap. It may be also because of the delays.Try creating a counter theme (on a totally different chandas (phrasing) and interspersing it.
Good job,
RJAY

Thanks for the curiosity to listen to my voice. If you dont mind getting disappointed with what Comment told you, I do have an upload "That's when I remember you" on my mp3.com page which is an English song which I have sung like a Tamil song ;).
If you want a better showcase, wait for a few weeks ;)

Good quality reverb can be created even using just MIDI.
Just clone the track to 2 more tracks, creating three tracks MIDI tracks with the same melody. The first one stays center panned and good volume. The second one: pan it to extreme left and time shift by quarter bar and down the volume to 40%. The third one: pan it to extreme right and time shift by half a bar and down the volume to 20%. This basically adds two delayed signals to the original and creates a good space. I used this in the Sax intro of Flowing with the river.
The flute, violin solos in Udayamagum velaiyil were all enhanced by this MIDI FX.
Also in Anandha bhairavi (intro marimba sounds)

Another MIDI technique to create a good guitar strumming effect.
Clone the track. Assign to two different acoustic guitars (one nylon and another steel string) and pan these away to left and right) This gives a fuller, realistic sound. In Udayamagum velaiyil at 1:01 you can listen to this effect.

Jay,
Excellent piece man. You have a very good sense of tones and you built them up really well. And of course I cannot believe you made this all with the Triton which a few people like comment worked wonders with! It would be interesting if you could add vocals (which I am not sure you would like to do). Perhaps if that is in your mind, you can show us how it sounds...
Nice work once again. Looking forward to hearing more...

Thanks again.
Jay.

Very nice. The expressiveness of Sax and Guitar are amazing. Difficult to believe it is from a keyboard. Looks like you guys will convince me to buy a Triton!

Hey Rjay..good to hear from you.
Yeah Triton is just a great synth. I love the ribbon controller...The sax volume was controlled by it...I'm so addicted to it that I cant think of using a keyboard without the ribbon. What do you say comment and swamiji?
I know you guys own one. :)

Triton is a Great Synthesizer. In case you're looking for 100% Korg Triton sound engine with
- Excellent live performance Features
- Completely Programmable
- Vocal + Guitar Processors
- 60% of Triton's Sampling Abilities ( which will be provided in the next release ).
- Dual Sequencers
- Triton's Effects
- Mixer
tightly integrated with Triton. Same in looks.
the answer is Korg PA80. This is just out in the market. Amazing Keyboard. This has become a Darling Keyboard for all the Arrangers in europe and India. You can expect it to see with ARR in his next Live Show.
Korg had I-30 a successful arranger kb but is not so great in sounds . With the advent of triton, they added this sound engine with I-30 features to make it a professional arranger accompaniment. It's a serious arranger keyboard. It's almost the same cost as Triton 61 key workstation - about 2100$

A Folkal Rendezvous
This is an experimental score that contains various forms of folk music. I have worked out a score based on various Middle Eastern and Indian folk music. The lead instrument on the Indian side is flute. Apart from flute, I have also used Tabla , south Indian cymbals , Shenai, Gopichant. The Middle Eastern side consists of Pungi, the Afghani Reba, Mizmar, Er-Hu (Two-Stringed Violin - Chinese instrument) and few native Middle Eastern instruments for percussion. You will also hear western classical influences in the score, using a Mini chamber string section and keyboard bells.
check it and let me know how it sounds...

If Srikanth was asked to make music for Alam Aara ( I guess this is the first indian movie )...he would do it this way and still make us listen till 2001...I believe doing simple things with a great electronic gadgets is not a joke...It sounds simple but I can imagine that it's the most difficult job...these electronic gadgets are capable of distracting you or sometimes ease you to do something called popular music. When you sit on these KB, they ease and inspire popular music - it sounds so good that you fix it - And so you continue composing popular music.
You need to be very strong to make it sound so simple...Good Job!

In Summary...Srikanth can span a wider Audience - Really Cool - Question is not whether this can be achieved with Acoustic Instruments playing live - challenge is with the resources - where can we get such folk artists in this Hitech era. And to rely on the electronic gadgets to play folk, they are so naive that they might drive you to make popular stuff...Congratulations Srikanth you bridged this gap!

Srikanth
This will be counted as one of the milestones of World Music.
Breathtaking fusion of folk from all over. It teases you every second. beginning plucked sruti -, the flutes at 8 sec, could be Irish or equally Indian. Middle eastern pieces are also Indian and would work in Irish music too! Only in a mature mind can all these fuse so seamlessly.
The flute/tabla/jalra at 1:40 is authentic and nobody will believe if you say it is out of Triton synth! The single touch of chord at the end is a touchstone for your mastery of western harmony. Well done!
And you better put this in a different album than Kathal pathai. If you put both in same place, nobody will believe same guy did both.
I am extremely happy and satisfied with this piece. It is still lingering in my mind. There is so much folk innocence there. We should do our best to expose more and more non-Indians to listen to this piece.

Srikanth,
Brilliant work. Well articulated piece. The composition does not lose the focus at any point. I am adding this to my other favorite composition of yours, "The Warrior".

Srikanth,
I can not agree more with Rjay. Definitely a one of the milestones in World folk music.
I have to burn a new CD adding this, so that I can enjoy this in my car.
Thanks for a soulful rendition.

I remember reading in your writeup for Cart song that you are going to create simpler songs. This is the ultimate in your quest. Seemingly simple, it is a grand achievement!

Good work Srikanth. Lots of instruments sounding well together..but after you guys called
it "Milestone in World Fusion" I listened to it critically for 4-5 times...its a nice track alright but
I wouldnt call it a master piece. Although the track has a lot of instruments of the world, I thought
they dont really show their true nature in the song...I didnt see different styles of music...it was more like
all the instrument playing an Indian tune or adding to it.
I'd say it is a good folk song..but not fusion.
The tabla is played very realiastically..good work on the synth.
Again, Its just me and my humble thoughts.
Jay.
