Hi! We've made a major addition to newtfmpage, and that is a big song bank. Dhool features thousands of songs for your listening pleasure. This site is a part of the newtfmpage.com - swara.com group. Together with newtfmpage, we wish to make this the best place to listen to tamil film songs online and know about tamil film music. Our collection includes old, new, famous, rare and unheard of songs. We are still fine tuning and fixing the database errors, so please bear with us. We value your feedback, and this will help us build the site better. Please post your comments below or mail to comments@newtfmpage.com.

  It was a conscious decision to avoid mentioning Sripriya ;-) rama naiduvirkku enna kobamo ippadi oru soplaangi rolekku sripriya vai pottar. bubbly Sripriya vai velakkanai rolel pottu sridevi camp had a field day ;-(

  Nijama Nijama - Kay Kay , Shreya Ghosal || beautiful duet another hit for Kay Kay (im liking the YSR/KK combo) but i want to beat up YSR for tryin to spice up the song here and there with random junk that distracts from the song.
  
  A haunting melody number soul stirringly rendered by KK and Shreya Goshal. Though the tune is catchy, it is so predictable that even on first hearing, one can predict the flow of tune. Na.Muthukumar's lyrics have some repetitive lines used in previous movies. Electronically modified humming in the first interlude is a good innovative effort and this song is the pick of the album.

  Raasave unna thaan is a classic. The tune for "pee bee pee" choral humming in the first(or second?) interlude is almost the same as that of the tune of the charanam of "pani mazhai vizhum" (enakkaaga kaathiru). Not sure which of these songs came first. Nevertheless, both have deservingly found a place in SOTD.

  vengayam, "naan thaanda ippo devadas" isn't it from savaal? - no, it is not. I think you are confusing this with another rajini-spb kudigara paatu from 'pokkiri raja' which also got released around the same time with MSV's music. The song is 'kadavul padachaan ulagam undaachu'

  There are 2 other Devadoss songs in early 80s. 1. "Thanniya poata"from Saval (Kamal/Kalyani Menon/MSV).
  2."Devadossum nanum" from Vidhi( MV/SG).

  Nice song bb ... I didn't like the way Na. Muthukumar Ditto-ed some of his own lyrics from movie "Album", Otherwise, his recent songs (including this one) are better than any other lyricst in the race

  On hearing the Thamizh kolai by the lead singers (KayKay, Shreya - they can be only better than Udit and Sadhana) in the song of so many days,"nijama", Iam tempted to thank Providence for bestowing that weakness (not learning to tell 'NO') upon SPB. Otherwise, we would have become poorer by atleast few hundreds of songs.
