Unearthing Rare Golden Oldies of TFM into MP3s

There are many many wonderful songs in old TFM (especially belonging to the period before 1980) which many of us have heard and enjoyed in the days of their popularity, but, as years rolled by those songs came to be heard only rarely. This thread is an attempt to unearth such golden oldies. Those who have longed to hear such songs can make a "nEyar viruppam" request here. In response, those who have the songs can convert them into MP3s and share it with others here. Through sites like coolgoose.com and Yahoo briefcase, it is now possible to do such sharing easily.

As rare songs are unearthed and brought out as MP3s, it would be natural to listen to them and discuss them here, so that this thread does not simply become just a set of requests and supplies.

My sister Sathya Kabali has a large collection of rare TFM goldies in cassettes and she is in the process of converting them into MP3s and putting them in coolgoose. The songs she has uploaded are available at this link:

  Tks a million for uploading my favourite PBS-PS duet in 'Alukkoru Veedu'. I have downloaded it and am listening to it repeatedly. Why don't they set to music tunes such as this these days. Yes, they don't have the singers of this calibre any more. VR have used the North indian instrument (I forget its name) which is generally used for denoting sad times so well in this enchanting song. It's an abs beauty.
  
  And the other three songs which I had requested for u to upload are also great. I am thankful to u. BTW I have been asking people in the forum abt a TMS_P Leela duet which goes like this ..."Vaazhkai Odam, Odam Vendum, Senru Karai Sera vendum". It's a beautiful song, but I don't know the MD or the film. Do u have any idea abt this wonderful duet. And if u have it in your possession can u upload it. I have the song in my cassette collection, but it's a taped version from Radio Ceylon.
  
  Also I would be grateful it you could upload the TMS solo in "Kalanikku Kalyanam" going as .... Unnai Ninaikkaiyile kanne ennakanavukku ennikkai ethadi unnai Ninaikkaiyile". It's one of the best but rate songs that's not heard these days. Sorry for the trouble.

  I have added the soulful "Neeyo naano yaar nilave" from Mannaadhi Mannan to my space. I have a couple of doubts reg this song. Is there a Hindi version of this one? I vaguely remember hearing a LM song in this tune, I could be wrong. In the movie "Vaa Indha pakkam"(MD:Shyam) there is a song by SJ which goes "meri awaaz sun is mein hai bade dhun" which kind of resembles neeyo naano. Not sure once again if that was an original Hindi song reused by Shyam. Anyways, this song is a treat to hear.
