Unearthing Rare Golden Oldies of TFM into MP3s

There are many many wonderful songs in old TFM (especially belonging to the period before 1980) which many of us have heard and enjoyed in the days of their popularity, but, as years rolled by those songs came to be heard only rarely. This thread is an attempt to unearth such golden oldies. Those who have longed to hear such songs can make a "nEyar viruppam" request here. In response, those who have the songs can convert them into MP3s and share it with others here. Through sites like coolgoose.com and Yahoo briefcase, it is now possible to do such sharing easily.

As rare songs are unearthed and brought out as MP3s, it would be natural to listen to them and discuss them here, so that this thread does not simply become just a set of requests and supplies.

My sister Sathya Kabali has a large collection of rare TFM goldies in cassettes and she is in the process of converting them into MP3s and putting them in coolgoose. The songs she has uploaded are available at this link:

  Adding to "naan unnai ninachen" ULed by SK, here is another gem from Shankar-Ganesh that I just added myself -Devi Vandha neram by SPB-VJ from Vandichakram. Coincidence, 2 SPB-VJ duets from the same MD in one night. Once again, a masterful rendition by SPB.

  Can u lead me to 'anbumanam kaninda pinne' in coolgoose. I located the other two songs, the solo ones by PS and PBS. Another rarely heard song u can upload is: 'Paadinaar Kavignar Paadinar', from I think the film 'Thenral Veesum'. The MDs are undoubtedly the great duo of VR.

  SK has uploaded the song "anbu manam kanintha piNNE" under old category. He named it MSV-TKR anbu manam.
  It is there. I renamed it as PBS.Look in PBS.
  Padinaar song I have it in my collection recorded from Ceylon radio. That may need cleaning. Now sk is in India. He will be back after 3 weeks. He is the expert in that. Please wait for a month. We will upload a much cleaner version of the song "pAdinaar'.
  Manohara songs I have. I will look for this song and upload it for you.

  As my sister said, I am leaving for India (in a few hours). Some songs that require cleaning will be uploaded after I return on Aug 4. I have just uploaded MM Dhandapani Desikar's mEdai kachchEri version of 'veNNilAvum vAnum'. I have also uploaded his mEdai kachchEri version of 'thunbam nErgaiyil'. As you know, MMDD was the one who composed the tune for thunbam nErgaiyil. In this mp3 that I have uploaded, he explains (hilariously) why he chose Desh instead of Atana.

  I will upload koduththu vaiththavaL song - neeyum nAnum onRu in the coming days. There are 2 versions. (happy&pathos). Both by Susila.
  
  The film Lalitha has excellent songs. I recorded one song from ceylon radio. a rare one "Oradi kadavutkAka" beautiful lyrics by Kannadasan describing in detail sapthabathi (the seven steps) and with that the basis of a marriage - not physical or material but the spiritual bonding between husband and wife. This song is recited like vEda manthiram.
  Another song I have; but I am not sure whether it is Susila's vasanthangaL varum munnE or VJ's kalyANamE oru peNNOduthAn.
