  Gocha, these are fans, who have seen IR do things 800 times over. It is not like believeing in God, without seeing him physically or whatever. You have passion for IR's works, give it. it is not graceful to even think of ideas like yours. ;---) sorry about that. u have seen people investing in chit funds, without even bothering to know the past performace, when there was none! and to doubt this most awesome "force" on this planet.... i feel personally very sad, though i have not contributed yet....

  The TiS team is determined to make this happen and in fact, what mR.Gocha has suggested IS in our agenda. We were[and still are!] believing in IIR fans who have heard him, enjoyed him and downloaded his songs umpteen number of times, to consider this great man's noble cause and give whatever they can, as a token of Thanks to the Maestro. But, the good news is, neither IIR, nor Tamil maiyam nor the TiS team are going to be waiting in vain when our repeated pleas are going unheard! We would like to share with you all that the required money will be given to IIR in a few days and IIR is all set to go to Hungary for the recording in the next two weeks. In the meantime, if there are any souls out there[Kaalam AB, pl. note!] willing to and wanting to be part of this, to send your contributions in the next few days. Make your checks payable to TNF and send them to 102, Coppergreen St, Cary, NC 27513. Thanks.

  before, I did not have access to internet and also
  occupied by something else completely. I just came
  back from India. Though I am not aware of what's going
  about TIS, I will look into the details soon in
  internet. Meanwhile, keep send me any updates.
  
  Coming to the donation I sent to you...for $150...I
  have collected Rs.5521 which is around $125 and the
  rest is my contribution to make it a round figure.

  Really they are nice people. Though all they don't

  project with his hard earned money. And Mr.
  Srinivasulu.. a labourer in a field... was happened to
  listen everything when I talking about TIS...though he
  doesn't understand and know what a symphony is...he
  himself came forward and donated whatever he had in
  his pocket on that day. I hope the above gesture would
  inspire more people to donate for TIS.

  bb, triple S cannot reveal some things. Ot of those main ones are:
  1. how was much collected in US
  2. how the triple S contributed
  3. how profit from selling CD's (if it happens by chance with all this sharing mp3 stuff going on) will be utilised

  Assuming you meant to say 'how much was collected',
  
  They have already said that their goal of $100K has not been reached and that they intend to top it up to 100K in order for the project to proceed.
  
  Many here have argued for and against a running total of amount collected. But it was understood (at least by me) that once the project is fully financed and SSS conclude their fund raising activities, all numbers and figures will be made available to the public.
  
  It is unfair to insinuate anything until such time.

  If you left out 'much' from this sentence by mistake, then it is quite ironic, because then the question becomes ‘how’ and not ‘how much’.
  
  In terms of ‘how much’, they have already said that they contributed. Why should we be concerned about how much they contributed when we don't know that detail about anyone else who contributed to the US team? Everyone contributed as much as they could afford and according to the worth they put on this project. Period.
  
  Even if a cynic assumes SSS did not contribute a penny in terms of ‘how much’, just the amount of time and effort they have put into this project and the abuse they have suffered in doing so is worth at least a few thousand dollars in contribution. That’s ‘how’ they contributed.

  I think SSS does not have a say in this. This was decided even before SSS got involved in this project. It is hoped that the proceeds will help fund several projects for education and research in music. The virtues of these were also discussed at length here.
  
  Hope this bit of rambling helps, that is of course, if you were seriously after answers. If your intention was just to stir the pot one last time, then congratulations, you have made me bite the bait.

  Please treat April as the month of our "DREAM COME TRUE"! We have assured IIR and Tamil Maiyam that we will be ready with 100K by any means,thru collections[about 20K so far!], from loans, from our savings[including second mortgage of our homes etc] and from dinner meets in May[to pay back the loans] when IIR will be visiting USA from Hungary, after completing his work there! We make one final appeal to all the well-wishers and IIR fans--PLEASE COME UP WITH WHATEVER YOU CAN[even as a loan] AND SEND IT TO US ASAP BEFORE THE THIRD WEEK OF APRIL!
