  Man, u made my day, haha, how can u be so ignorant, geez, let me start with a few imitators of KJY
  
  1) Jeyachandran – Though I can differentiate between KJY & Jeyachandran easily!
  2) Unni Menon – Big time KJY wanna be
  3) Unni Krishnan – similar voice to KJY (younger KJY)
  4) Madhu Balakrishnan
  
  C the list, while SPB had only one cheap imitator, look the KJY clones

  One can not realize all these if he/she is tuned to listen few hundred Mallum songs of KJY and rate him amongst SPB and RAFI.

  again an absurd statement, SPB’s hindi songs were far more popular than KJY’s.

  I feel that the Amitabh song you're referring to is form the Film Anand Mahal or Anand.
  
  The song goes like this..
  
  Chand akele jaye sakhi re..
  Kahe Chand akele..
  Man mora Khabrayeri..
  Sakhire..Sakhire..
  
  Ni Sa Ga Ma Pa Ni..is a fabulous song from film Anand Mahal and is KJY's first Hindi song (1976/1977)

  I just need to add this..
  
  The clones of KJY you mentioned never ever reach even 30% of KJY whereas Mano, atleast in a few songs, is incomparable from SPB!
  
  1. Jayachandran (His voice is sweet, but not as KJY's and doesn't have resemblence except for a few songs in older days).
  
  2. Unni Menon (He tried to imitate KJY and was out of Malayalam film songs..agian no resemblence)
  
  3. UnniKrishnan (UnniKrishnan is superb in classical rendition, but his voice is nasal and how can it be comapred to even KJYs younger voice?).
  
  4. Madhu Balakrishnan (He sometimes matches in middle octaves, but not in base and high pitches..)
  
  Even not these, every Mallu stage singer tries to imitate him..and fails miserably..
  
  Anyway these were my views.. as everyone has his/her own.

  The Amithabh song is from the film Alaap and not Anand/Anand Mahal. It's available in www.musicindiaonline.com. But, in the version I heard only KJY sings.

  SPB ruled in Three languages(Tamil,Telugu/Kanada) while KJY ruled mallu's only!

  agree, but i Like Jeychandran's voice amongst the KJY clones, but Mano is not even 5% of SPB!, I can distinguish SPB's voice and Mano's voice instantley, but it takes some good listening to differntiate between KJY & PJ, but that is possible :)

  Correct, KJY is little nasal too, esp at HIGH OCTAVES, it can be irritating, typical example 'Kalaivaniye unaithane ', from sindhu bhairavi, at ettank kattai (highest, Octaves) he sounds very nasal & bad, he can not reach high ocatves with great ease like SPB or rafi!, though I love SPB's mid - lower octaves, in which SPB is too awsome!

  Regarding that song, there was another hero with Amithabh, who was singing, I think the other voice could be of Mahendra Kapoor!, not sure
