>>>Symphony is an international classical music
That's true. But is that what IR composed is my question. He has fooled every body. He composed some Bu*l sh*t and those people in RPH outrightly rejected it. The well paid John Scott just to show his loyalty wrote an one liner in a letter appriciating that Phony and rajangam fellows took that as a Geetha verse and are only using that to say and believe that Sym. has been composed. Now, how can you believe the one that you have not listened to. IR made a big function, called all big heads in that, made headlines in weeklies and finally what did he deliver...just a false news about Symphony. Fooled the whole TN and also the Indian audiance. I remember reading a newspaper in Bombay, about this symphooony, praising IR. When a man has no guts to show out his piece to the world but expects others to believe what he has not done as actually been done, then I won't be among the few who do believe it. Over and above that the Subbudu's factor. Man who dislikes Jugalbandhi, is tactfully made to listen a music piece about which he should probably have 0 knowledge. He praised it, may be out of courtesy (KR took pains to take the cassette to Delhi) and all the IR fans made that as a supreme verdict.
Innum eththai Kaalam dhan emaaththuvar indha naattile..

Are Yaar.. Classical music is totally different from pop music. First of all Racism is a big factor in England. Especially in classical music. Illayaraj was treated very badly in Germany because he was dark. Even though he had the full backing of John Scott his classing composing couldn't escape the eyes of critics. IMHO Illyaraja is starightforward person unlike Rajinikanth. He is very honest and forthright.
Most of the IR fans know about it. I read it in John Scott homepage. If you cannot respect an artist like Illayaraja, and if you question his integrity of a person like Illayaraja and without even listening to what he has done if you accuse as "Bu** sh**", then you are not even fit to be a music fan. You must be one of those who doesn't know anything about music. Copying western tunes and claiming it as his own is called cheating. ARR is the definition of cheating. Some of my friends keep digging how cleverly ARR has cheated public. Illayaraja has never cheated tamil public with tamil music. He has always given his best till date. If you can't respect such an important artist Illayaraja tamil field has ever seen, just stay away. I appreciate any good songs. Are Yaar you are just another guy like Rajini fans who will never budge an inch!!
Just tell me how many mp3 of illayaraja in your machine?.. Unless you are below 20 years old you would have been an ardent follower of Illayaraja fan sometime or the other!!.. Honestly i don't have to argue.. I admit i have pre kk ARR songs.
But not all. but some 100 songs. But i have 1600
IR songs. That is enough for a century!!!

Big joke. If according to you ARR plagarises then IR plagarises to the core. 1000s of his songs are folk songs and he is not the creator. Even his annakkili unnai thedudhe is a recycle of a folk song. Gangai Amaran has told about the originals in several programs several times. Now, IR steals in his own house..

Are yaar!! I think it is pretty useless to talk to you!! You are one of the 5 or 6 people who go at IR music out of millions of people living in Tamilnadu!! Honestly i don't care about your biased opinion!!

Are Yaar by the way you have not answered my question.. how many IR songs you have so that i can judge if you are a music fan or just a barking dog!!

Why are the dogs barking so much nowadayz?? What could be the reason?? Perhaps deep total disappointment in their new converted religion?? That they have to cover up or calm down their burning effect by condemning the original religion??
How can they have miscued? The followers are so many and so strong. How come?....that's for the dogs to find out.
Hmmm....

Unmai,
You have been very good at analyzing Ilayaraja songs. Don't waste your time and energy arguing with people who are not aware of the might of Ilayaraja music. It's funny how these kids assume what ever those over hyped new gen MD's dish out, is good music!! I feel sorry for them as I know what they are missing.

"One thing ARR fans must know is he is not composing songs keeping in mind with scale changes!!!"
"He never cares about how many scales.. whatever he does is just a coincidence"
Dude Unmai did u really type that thing?? To be frank, i find it a really childish statement. I am not talking abt those scale changes where u sing the same tune at the end of a song by raising it a half note or a full note. Take Adhisayam thirumanam from PP, starts in the key of A, (then a slight change to E?), and the pallavi goes to D. And u don the have same tune being repeated again and again in the new keys. That is more of modulation , than the one u think what scale change is. And modulation of that style quite common in WCM. But did u really listen to the KM title song?? song starts in Cminor, then makes a change to the scale that has notes of Bminor. Now did u hear that kind of modulation? if u did, tell me the names of those songs, so I can also listen to them. And if u think it is nothing great to change from Cminor to Bminor and come back to Cminor, I don have anything to say to u.
ANd by the way which european song is the KM title song?? And which instrument was changed?

Unmai (Poi to be precise)
To be honest with you I have little more than 500 songs of IR in MP3 and ram. And Very few films in full album. I think all other songs were worthless to be stored in the disk. Leave it. I have a good taste and I collected the best.
I might be a barking dog..At least I bark seeing the thief and crooked. You are simple a licking one. You go around just licking yourself, IR and mates like Ambleen etc. Better, cooldown and reduce personal attacks. Even I know all the 26 alphabets and can mingle around with it to make the word nasty. Be Careful....right.!!!!
And don't just be under the illusion that IR has not plagarised. If you look at his compositions critically then you will have to aggree because you apply the same yaad stick to ARR too. If getting inspired from african folk is plagarism, then getting inspired and blatantly copying songs like "oththa rooba thaaren" from Indian folk and all ..what will you say?
I have lot of respect for the man, but because of people like you make me write more critically against him. I don't have any regret, but I don't wish to start the same fight again and again

How many ARR songs i heard in the last one week
Zero
How many IR songs i heard in the last one week
just over 150
This is truth nothing but truth whole truth!!
I was just telling ARR is on decline!! For someone who listened to Roja so many times for the first one year, it is a shocking statistics.
So i tried to figure out i have stopped listening to his songs. I decided to make an analysis.
Total number of listening of ARR music
Roja 20-25 times
Netru illadha matram lke 10-15 times since it was released
Kadhale En Kadhale and Anjali like 10-15 times
Ennavale 15 times
Margazhi poove 15 times
Porale Ponnuthayi 15 times
Enge Enadhu Kavithai 15 times
Snehidane 15 times
Nila Kaigirathu 15 times
...
After that
Kannathil muthamittal totally 2 times except the title song which was for 4 or 5 times that was also to check its originality
Baba i heard all songs just once. Unbearable
Alli Arjuna couldn't listen to it once.
Parthale Paravasam maybe 2 times.
Rest of the ARR songs i wouldn't have listened to it more than 2 or 3 times.
When i say listen, it means i wantedly play it and listen. Suddenly there was a drastic decline in this number. I know it is subjective. I am very very picky about my music. People have always admired my collection. The way i have organized. Like Nila songs, KJY classics, in a systematic manner. I have got high regards from all of my friends for this efforts. There was one of my roommate who was only 23 who had all the early 80 songs of Illayaraja alongwith ARR. He listens to all songs. good or bad. He would just listen to any song tapping his foot. ARR or Deva or IR anybody. This is one category. Other category is some are like 35 who are puzzled at the taste of modern fans, when they see youngsters appreciating and dancing for songs like mala mala maruthamala, sarakku vechirukken varuthakozhi vechirukken something like that.
I am kind of very picky in choosing what to listen. Oflate not even single ARR song has impressed me. I don't know why i don't like his songs!! I came here to express my thoughts.. But i think it is a wrong place to look for such an answer!! It's like searching for god in periyar house!!! 99% are biased!!! To some people I don't want to dignify with an answer as they don't deserve any responses. They don't qualify to be a human being!!! I would rather not find an answer. why would i care? I will just listen to songs i like instead of coming here and searching for answer. If ARR's next album is crap like Baba i won't listen much. If it is good i will listen. I do not expect any answer from anybody. Plz. dont respond to this post as i know it is certainly going to be biased.
