This 'so-called' film critic from REDIFF.COM says 'ABHAY' (Hindi Version of ALAVANDHAAN' is a crap movie. The link is given below...
http://www.rediff.com/entertai/2001/nov/13abhay.htm
How crucial was 'music' a crucial factor for a film like ALAVANDHAAN?

wow, this is fun. WAR IS BEAUTIFULL....
:-) BHARATH annachi...ippo second round polama...idhukaavadhu answer theriyudha paarpoom...This time i will make it really simple for you...ok...This is only to point to you, your ignorance and not meant to showcase my arrogance, as you claim it, Nanba....[On second thoughts, if you are arrogant enough to put down a stunning effort by a genius actor KAMAL, then what the hell, your arrogance needs some treatment...] Now over to second round...
1)why (in the climax scene)does "VIJAY" KAMAL stare at the twins in RAVEENA's womb (on the scanner monitor) with suspicion? [First question'liye clean bowled ayiteengala annachi?]
2)He (VIJAY KAMAL) sticks up a mirror piece with bubble gum and sees thru that? [Clue:don't come up with stupid answers like it was copied from some english movie]
3)Why, when NANDHU escapes after killing MANISHA, in the corridor where "VIJAY" KAMAL stands as NANDHU alights the elevator, suddenly water gushes down as if it were raining? [No dude, it cannot rain inside a hotel corridor, that answer is ruled out][This is real simple...Hope u get this one] :-)
4)Which is the "first scene" that is a solid indication of onset of "PARANOID SCHIZOPHRENIA" in NANDHU kamal? [Summa DVD'la padam paarthuttu film kaataatheenga thalaiva..."C" Center audience'ya pathi neenga kevalama pesaradhukka ungallukku mudhalla arugadhai irukkaanu paarunga, please :-) ]
This second round is very simple. Hope u manage this one dear "SELF PROCLAIMED" baby critic BRAT oops BHARATH...If u graduate, i have a third round in store....

<<....neutral fan, u don't need a wife for icy chill cold. Try heaters. They have lower acquisition costs, lower maintenance costs, use less energy, have replacement parts available and when it gets too old and noisy, u can buy a new model...>>>>>>...Dearest & loveable WHYNOT, hope your posting given above does not catch the eyes of feminist groups..By the way, heaters yes, a good option, but people say that a WIFE offers umpteen other "PRODUCT FEATURES" that can come in 'handy'...

Guys, my psychiatrist doctor friend tells me this : After Nandu takes the LSD drug, they show the snake tatoo on his hand wriggling - it is well-known that when LSD injection is taken, one feels as if the drug is actually wriggling inside! it is hallucination! Kamal has very nicely shown it using animation! for all the flaws in the film
there are several subtle things that Kamal has very skilfully done/shown in the film

it looks like Barath & neutral fan are ready for a holy war, let OBL (Osama Bin Ladin) help you guys), he he he
Kamal has done a wonderful Job in the film, but I bet it is another clone from a hollywood movie, but Kamal as Nandhu acted simply superb, kamal takes all his new films into new dimensions, but many fail to appreciate his skills, many feels the way he handles women as sexual pleasure in his movies are not respecting the Indian Culture!, well I agree with this, but then again some enjoy that kind of scenes, but Thalaivar (Rajni) films are clean & clear, so every body loves it,but Rajni's new films, expect "Basha", "Thalapathi", "Mannan" are all masala films, with the same old story, it is not Rajni's fault, but the directors fault.
This is coming from a Great fan Super* Rajni
"Naa oru thadavai sonna nooru thadavai sonna mathiri",
vatta!
How is it?

Raghuvaran,
Don't you think that "Alavandaan" is not a successful movie only b'cos SPB didn't sing a single song? Will the other people here realize that?
- From: Raghuvaran (@ 212.2.14.241) on: Fri Dec 21 10:52:57 EST 2001
Trend madaiya;
Just because I am SPB fan, does that mean, I can not be Rajni fan, you just want 2 argue with me like a school kid, well am not up for it.
Oh by the way, for your info, the Telegu version Alavandhan (abhey) has SPB singing all the songs for Kamal, SPB has also dubbed his voice for Kamal, think b4 you speak, get your facts right b4 u speak.
If you do not believe me here is the link,

>>people say that a WIFE offers umpteen other "PRODUCT FEATURES" that can come in 'handy'...<<
Oh No!!! The Capricorn is being cheeky! :-))
I'm lost for words at this profound observation on 'the benefits of having a wife' by neutral fan.
:-)
>>So,which perfume has the odor that will make a woman to chase me?Any solutions here? :)<<
Trend, hopefully ur perfume will not have an 'odor' :-))
But here's a tip from a female perspective:
drakkar noir by guy laroche comes closest ;-) Good Luck!
>>//"4)Which is the "first scene" that is a solid indication of onset of "PARANOID SCHIZOPHRENIA" in NANDHU kamal?"//
duh... when nandhu kamal gets introed and he starts suspecting raveena to be like his step mom<<
Bharath, i think (cud be wrong), neutral fan was talking about when it becomes obvious the kid nandhu had first started experiencing the symptoms of schizo afflictions.
My guess is the hair brushing scene, when he thinks his mum is combing his hair for him.
That was so sad :-(
Well, bharath and neutral fan seem to have lots of fun bashing each other.
Frankly speaking, I think they both deserve each other. :-) My guess is, bharath is probably a fire sign or another thick skinned earth male like neutral fan. ;-)
All imho.
- From: Bharath (@ 192.25.158.12) on: Fri Dec 21 12:55:24 EST 2001
well he should start asking questions like.. when did nandhu after clap 4 take 3 scene 7 .. show signs of paranoid boo boo...?
how many times betwen songs he exhibit mental instability...
something like that.. i am now sure neutral fan is not more than 18 years old.
- From: Trend (@ 216.68.113.230) on: Fri Dec 21 15:20:28 EST 2001
Saran,
I didn't notice your posting. There is no point in considering Kamal's film to be good just b'cos it's better than most other films. The other films doesn't deserve a mention and it doesn't mean that those films are better b'cos they are not being criticized.Kamal has set high standards for himself and he should be judged by that.If he is slacking off we need to let him know about that in a critical way.He is praised for his attempt but he should also know the kinks in it.
I consider it to be in bad taste for you to bring in Rajini unnecessarily.
If you want to go into Padayappa, start a thread like "Does Padayappa deserve its success?" and we can talk about it there.
All,IMO
