  MS: iirc, the opening slogan of "Nadavinodangal" is the first verse of Kalidasa's Raghuvamsa. I think its just rendered as a slokam (probably using a max of 3/4 notes) so I dont know whether it is defined by any raga.

  i came to know from other discussions in newtfmpage and also from a friend that isayil thod.. is on hamsanadham.. other songs in hamsanadham are 'thenral vandhu ennai thodum' and 'sorgamE enrAlum..' . i'm humming all three songs all-day to find whether they are close.. try...

  I think "Kaatrinile varum geetham" is set to raga "Ratipatipriya". There is a claasical song "Jagat Janani.." (I think Muthuswami Dikshitar's)in the same raaga.

  Katrinile Varum Geedam also has a hint of Sindubairavhi in it, I don't think it is pure RTP.
  
  Anandha Nadanam, however is in RTP and Jagath Janani is by Dhandapani Desigar, also in the same Raga. There was also a piece, Nalam Tharuvai Thaaye Meenakshi, set to the same swaras as Jagath Janani, it appeared in a movie.

  Taaye Mookambike! What a song, what variety and it has Balamurali, MSV and Veeramani!
  The ragamalika comprises the following parts:
  Thaaye Mookambike: Maya Malava Gowlai, Revati combo?
  Gnyana Mazhai Mukhile : Gowri Manohari or Ranjani?
  Aananda Vaazhvil (sung by MSV): Hamsa Naadam (as in Thendral Vandu Ennai Thodum, Om Namaha, Sorgame Endraalum)
  
  Any examples of TFM songs in Raga Nayaki?
  I read somewhere that one of Karthik Raja's favourite IR compositions is in Raga Nayaki. Another of his favorites is 'Edho Moham' from Kozhi Koovudu.

  If I remember correctly, the song is a Ragamalika of Mohanam, Kalyani etc. Is Nayaki one of those ragas used in this?
