"The album kicks in with the very catchy ye ye ennachu sung by Vasundhara Das in manner that only she can. Next is a beauty of a ballad sonnalum by Unnikrishnan and Harini.
Vaan nila by Srinivas and Karthik is a highly innovative rock-n-roll track that would not let your feet rest. S P Balu is in his usual fantastic form in the heart warming yenthan vanin. Rahman takes off again into a very progressive FTV style track in bailmore with T R Simbu and Tippu doing the vocal honours. And the album ends on a grand note with Mano and Clinton going for the gut with o kadhale, which also sits on an emotional high note in the movie.
Kaadhal Virus has all the ingredients of a typical Kathir-A R Rahman soundtrack. A great mix of upbeat youthful tracks and soulful ballads"

Review from a person at ARR YG
-------------------------------
guys....after a long time.....when the credits were running....
music isaipuyal a.r.rahman ...the whole theatre were screaming and
whistling......i was jumping on my sit....i thought i was the only
one going to scream......
there wil be a scene where richard becomes a film director and
starts his first films pooja....and all the stars will attend it...
first balachander,barathiraja,manirathnam,shanker,vikraman,
ksravikumar,kadhir,prasanth....and a few more actors...........and
finaly the real super star of indian cinema arrahman walked in with
style...he looked so smart and graceful......the whole theatre
screams and shouts and whistle and shouting arrahman......
the song picturizations was crap...totaly crap...the van nila song
was wasted....such a dance number was completed without any dance at
all....same goes to bailamore and hey enna achi unakke....the only
viewable song was sonnalum with some wonderful sets....
the BGM and the songs are the real heroes of the movie....fantastic
BGM for a movie like that....no one went to toilet whenthe songs
were played...but the picturization didn't do justice at all to the
quality music....the BGM were acting and expressing the feelings of
the situation....the hero and heroines are a waste....
and after the movie ended as ussual there is a fantastic slow piano
theme (slow romantic version of van nila)....everyone when walking
out of the theatre hall were talking about the music....i overheard
some saying music was so touching....some said i liked that
song...and i was so happy to come out after watching such a crap
movie....i actually went for the songs and BGM....
U can watch the movie to see our annan isai puyal on big screen and
for his lovely BGM's.......

Guys,
I have seen the move Kadhar Virus.
Comment - Don't waste your money, time and energy for this silly movie. Few songs were good to listen. Sridevi is the only relaxation in the moviw. BGM - THis movie once again proved that GOOD BGM and ARR are always in Opposite Direction.
Kadhir's own production will definitely suck him.

Useless movie and Decent music. This is my overall comment about Kadhal Virus.Movie is going to be a
sure flop. The songs might gain some popularity.
BGM was good.ARR has tried his best but can't stop
the movie from flopping for sure.

Posts from the YG:
"Junior Vikatan published a news that, A.R.Rahman supported Kathir
with a sum of Rs.3,00,00,000 to release Kathal virus. It says, Kathir
was in deep financial crunch and had a very emotional conversation
with A.R.Rahman. A.R.R graciously offered his support and flew to
london itseems and his mother arranged the sum to kathir.
KV is not doing well at box-office. People are raving only about
vivek comedy, Rahman's presence in the movie and Rahman's BGM. Medias
claim that the movie is a straight lift of Sridhar's evergreen movie
"Nenjil Oar Aalayam" with little bit of refreshing flavors. Hope the
movie picks up the speed and put kathir in a comfortable position to
repay the huge amount to Rahman."
"Small correction:
Current issue of 'kumudam reporter' published it & not JV!"
Any info on tis? sounds weird.

Hindu reviews KV
----------------
Kadhal Virus
INITIALLY THE film did kindle a lot of interest — what with A. R. Rahman as composer and a fresh lead pair to boot. But because it has been in the making for too long, the euphoria that Sound & Light Studios' "Kadhal Virus" first triggered did wane a little. However, does the final product live up to expectations?
Apart from writing the story, screenplay and dialogue and directing "Kadhal ... ", Kadhir has taken on the additional onus of production too.
The film has its share of attractive elements — Coonoor captured in all its verdant beauty through the lens of Arjun Jena, a new technician, the alluring debutante Sridevi, the hero, Richard, who may not be the conventional, good-looking new face but is surely one with potential, and finally two melodious numbers from Rahman ("Sonnalum Kaetpadhillai ... " sung by Unni Krishnan and Harini will ring in your ears for a long time to come; Vaali's lyrics are also a highpoint of the song).
Kadhir's story is a melange of yesteryear love plots, viz., "Nenjil Oar Aalayam" and "Vasantha Maaligai", and thus transports you to the romantic interludes of the 1960s. Hence its romance ... the outmoded kind. For Deepak (Richard), it is love at first sight. The moment he sets eyes on Geetha (Sridevi), he falls for her. They meet in Coonoor a little later and our hero is heartbroken when he learns that she is already engaged. It is strange to see Raghuvaran being introduced as Geetha's fiancé! Especially after seeing him as the heroine's dad in films like "Bala", the pairing looks only risible. Thankfully he is understanding enough to leave way for Deepak. But things don't culminate in the marriage of Deepak and Geetha.
Communication gap leads to permanent estrangement and Geetha weds Rajiv (Abbas). It seems that the letters that the lovers write to each other are taken away by a jealous postman who is in love with our heroine! Come on Mr. Kadhir — in this age of cell phones and internet, surely this case of missing letters is a little too much even for the most credulous viewer! Again ridiculously Rajiv who is introduced as a management graduate from Mumbai, opts for a life of penury only to become a hero in films! Deepak, the martyr that he is, helps him.
The screenplay is incoherent in parts — the hero and the heroine get together as a romantic pair just a few minutes before the hero leaves for Chennai, yet funnily, later on there are flashbacks that show them sharing many moments of togetherness!
The dialogue and expressions are sometimes too cliched. The red rose- spread and the graphically engineered birds flying away symmetrically, so typical of its director, only give a sense of déjà vu.
The infection that this virus causes is as old as the hills.
