  Im not an expert, i havent learnt the art of deciphering swaras on the fly, i just guess it by pattern. It looked close to abheri, but still not being abheri with "d2". (Or may be it is bhairavi?) :)

  sa d2 p g3 r2 sa is Shiva ranjani
  and mixing nishaadham makles it Mishram.

  Shivaranjani does not have g3. The aaro/avaro of shivaranjani is
  
  S r2 g2 p d2 S
  s d2 p g2 r2 s
  
  when g2 in shivaranjani is replaced by g3 it becomes mohanam
  when d2 in mohanam is replace by d1, it becomes vasanthi
  when r2 in vasanthi is replaced by r1, it becomes bhoopaalam
  
  Mishra shivaranjani , to my knowledge does not have a specific structure but takes up G3 and d1 for beautification. A good example is "Ezisai geethame" and one on similar lines is "paadi azaiththEn". The pallavi of "raasaave unnai naan eNNiththaan" can also be safely said to be in mishra shivaranjani (or mishra mohanam :-) since it is mohanam which is more pronounced)
  
  A good example of mohanam + vasanthi mix is "adhO mEga oorvalam"
  
  Examples for pure vasanthi:
  
  (1) pallavi of kaadhalin dheepam ondru
  (2) Start of the pallavi of "dheerE dheerE subah huyi jaag uti zhindhagi" - this song tuned by bappi lahiri and sung by KJY has charukesi and vasanthi alternating.
  (3) kurukku siruththavaLE - completely in vasanthi though there is one place where you dubiously hear "r1" coming in for enhancing the elegance ("manjal thEchchu").

  the song 'pardesi pardesi' also has the same set of notes. can we say it's misra mohanam, as it has all the swarams of mohanam + a nishadam ?

  Rajesh - mishra mohanam was my imagination :-) I donno is there is one by that name :-)
  
  Your aarohaNam is nothing but harikaamboji. IMO, the sparse usage of nishaadham (just one place) in pORaaLE ponnuththaayi cannot brand it harikaamboji as there is no "feel" of harikaamboji in it. For harikaamboji, you should listen to "pazamuthir solai unakkaaga thaan".
