guys thanks,.hope you all liked it,
Rjay came to the show, i was surprised to see him in the audience.
Jay, yes that is triton, and i use roland r8 and aleis drum machines. The first part in the track has good range of fusion scores, been edited for copyrights reasons. I played ragas over drum patterns. Lead singer (shri srinivas) and I had some good fun...and did some good placements of notes, mirudagam was played by Jayanth., did a great job.
Overall good response from public. God willing, we are plannnig for more shows in future.

Just brilliant. Beyond my comprehension as how it can be played on a keyboard.

Srikanth, unbelievable playing. That was like a professional carnatic musician playing! How could you play at that tempo without any pisiru :O Unbelievable, considering the fact that it was spontaneous and not rehearsed. I totally agree with MS - adhu kaiyya illa kaatraa is very apt :-)
I am sure you would go places sriki. All the very best to you...

Srikanth, just heard your fabulous piece..was spellbound by the speed at which you have played the piece..you had me fooled for a while thinking that it was Mandolin Srinivas :-) a total stunner..

"Lets Party". Any idea who this is?
They say they're based in Chennai.

Hi there,
Can someone help with this?? I am planning to play the accompaniment on piano for a medley of telugu and tamil songs, sort of an unplugged session with only the piano and my friends voice. I need help with the piano part in the song Thenrale Thenrale from the movie Kadhaldesam (Vennela vennala in telugu). I love that piece very much and am able to play the right hand part right, but iam not sure abt the left hand part. It sounds right, but I am not sure if its the exact thing. One problem is I don have a keyboard with me at home, so I go to the music school in my univ to practice the piano and I cannot play the tape or CD there, so I listen at home and try it in the school. So if somebody can send me the notation (be it by naming the notes or in staff) I wud be really thankful, thnx.
Regards,
Sam.

Hey guys,
I am an amateur composer looking for advice/reviews on some of the pieces I did. I am a pure tracking artist, using solely computers to write music. I have experimented a little with mixing vocals and computers too and have been very successful. I can boast about a whole Dandia music programme done totally on computers and sung by live singers. You can get my compositions at http://www.mp3.com/silentocean

Hi Easwar,
Just checked to your page. Interesting compositions. Very unique in style. I enjoyed your "Singing With The Wind" the most. Very ethnic sounding.
Keep up the good work.

Sridhar:
Interesting piece - Why did u call Old Wine.
Was that Abhogi with occasional touch of some off note. I liked it when u bring in that off note ( Prati Madhyamam??? ) and in the background some synth effect sound. Misrachapu was well programmed again - is this ur favourite?
Keep up the good work.

Aditya

sridhar, sounds good.
at some places it reminded me
"pudhu vellai mazai"..
is that the reason for calling it a oldwine :)

Hey guys,
Thanks for your comments.
Srikanth: After I composed the piece, it sounded something very familiar, yet I could not find any matching melody. That is why, I called it 'Old Wine'. I did not plan for it to sound like "Pudhu Velai Mazhai'.

Sridhar:
Thanks for your observations. I really am relieved I sound a little unique, I was afraid I may sound like some composer, eventhough I admit I have heavy influence of Illaiyaraaja sometimes.
If other people also would post their comments I would be more than happy.
To all:
Anyone interested in making chain compositions - as in, someone posts the first movement of his piece and people pickup on it and add their own ideas into it and fill it up. We probably would get a real interesting piece of music. I guess we could learn a lot from each other.
Thanks

Eswar - I enjoyed listening to "Singing witht he Wind" and "The Mist" - excellent work - looking forward to great work from you - chain composition is a good idea - am sure that would be a feast to the listeners as each one of you would try to do better than the other - healthy competition is most welcome !!!! :-)

eswar, just listened to the score,
mist in hindolem, really done well, keep it up.
next one was also good -(bridanvana saranga)
just a point i noted...
in the last song guitar parts sounded mechanical to me you can try some variations in the guitar.

Welcome to this thread! I listened to your songs. They are good. You might be interested to see how ur "Singing with the Wind" coincides with an old telugu song..."Seetharamula Kalyanam"...
http://www.ramaneeya.com/rams/ns/srkl_title.ram
It's a most popular song heard on "Sri Rama Navami Festival Day"...
You may not have heard it however the composers can think alike. It's a very nice composition. I liked it. Looking forward to hear more compositions from u in future...
More Later....

Aditya

There's a small difference in this coincidence...that song was in madhyamavathi and this is in vridavani saranga...the coincidence is mainly the feel of the song...and not in the derogatory sense. Take a look at the following song too...you will be surprised of how ur composition feels to me...it's just the feel...Get me right!
http://www.ramaneeya.com/rams/nm/mallis_parug.ram
Guys, it's worthy to look at these two songs in general.
I appreciate ur feel in the song...you have uniqueness in ur songs...

Aditya

Srikanth:
You got the two songs right. Yeah, I know. Yeah, the last song is a pretty bad stuff. It was the most amateurish composition I ever made. I myself don't know why I am keeping it alive, I probably should throw it off.
Adithya:
Absolutely right, I know what you mean. That song in Vrundavan Saranga probably woke up from some of the bhajans and beautiful keerthanas in simple raagas like Madhyamavathi that impacted me, since I have spent a lot of time listening and singing Bhajans. You know there is a beautiful aspect of these raagas like VS and Madhyamavathi gives - a feel of innocent love and purity - do you guys agree?
