IR again spoils his "kasi" songs by not giving it SPB, why???

I have heard kassi songs, all are rendered by the same old ***Nasal*** hariharan, he sings all the songs like half-dead person, no punch, ne expression, no life, no modulation in his voice, but he does have superb ***NASAL*** voice!

If this film was to be super hit, IR should have used SPB's Royal Highness voice, like, he used SPB in "Chinathambi","Kadhal Oviyam","Salnghai Oli", etc.

But why does IR spoils all his master pieces by giving it the nasal singer, hariharan, IR spoilt many of great tunes during the 90's by giving the songs to the "cheap Imitator of SPB", Mano, Why is IR not making use of the MAJESTIC VOICE OF DR.SPB???

  IR is getting old, he has lost his senses or perhaps he has no choice but 2 take Nasal Hari in his films, due to pressure from the producers!, Nasal Hari is nothing but an excellent street singer, perhaps that's why IR chose him, he he

  who are haters of HH have created this thread.HH
  is a world renowned person and is now the leading
  singer in TFM.this is the true fact whether u
  accept it or not.SPB is great in his own way
  but HH is no less a singer.May be he is a hindustani oriented singer but he is capable of
  singing any song which he has proved a million

  Mr.Cheenu, dont think that my writing in bold letters, your statement will become true. Hariharan is a good singer, but not as versatile as spb. rather no one is as versatile as spb and it is impossible at this point of time for any singer to sing any song better than spb( I mean song and not prose like songs).Also to compare any present day singer to spb is rediculous and only a novice to tfm will do that

  Well said, ignore this cheenu idiot, he is novice to IFM, Hariharan is a semi-dead nasal Singer, who should not be a singer, hari sings every song like telling stories. where else SPB is unbeatable as always!

  SPB is out of the scene. Summa edhukku avara pathiye pesikkittu:)). Karthi, SPB records 3-4 songs a day even today and he is into his 36th year of singing. Let us consider P Susheela in '88 (36 years after her advent), she was a non-entity but wisdom dawned on her only after 13 years had gone by.

  I have heard the title song of Kasi by the nasal legend Hariharan, why the heck IR gives these kind of nasal idiots, when we got gems like SPB, KJY,SJ..etc. Hariharan sang all the songs with his horrible voice with the SAME BORING style, no variation, no modulation. Oh god, how long do we have to listen to these kind of crap.
  
  TFM, please get a life & get rid of Hariharan, Udit, Shanker, Srinivas, Sonu from TFM 4 ever!!!

  Yeah, I have watched the film, vikram acted very good, songs were very nice, Hariharan sang all the songs with same effect, no life in his singing, plus at higher notes he was struggling as usual, but I have to admit, Hariharan did not sound very nasal, perhaps he took some anti-biotics ( he he ).
  
  SPB would have been a much better choice, oh BTW, I know this film is a remake of a telugu film, who sang all the ongs in the telugu version, what is the film called in telegu?

  I am great fan of music, hence I am fan of MSV,IR, KVM, ARR, SPB, Ghantasala, BMK, KJY, Vidhyasagar, etc.
  
  I think the reason 4 the down fall of IR nowdays is because he uses all the nasal crap that Rehman bought along with him in 1992, like
  
  1) Hariharan- sings with his nose, too nasal & unbearable at high notes, no variation, no variety, no modulation & no life in his singing, we must get rid of him.
  
  2) Unni krishnan- although he may be good Carnatic Artists, his voice is too soft & feminine, hence his voice does not suit film music.
  
  3) Shanker Mahadevan- better choice than the above two, but nothing special about him.
  
  4) Srinivas - again another nasal singer like Hariharan
  
  IR should use the legendary voice of Dr.SPB, but he does not use him at all, he tends to follow what other MDs are doing like a blind person, typical example, IR's recent release Kasi, great songs, but as usual the nasal Hariharan spoilt all the songs, SPB would have been a better choice, if IR wants to get back his place in TFM,like in the early 80's & 90's , for god sake give SPB a chance!
  
  SPB+IR combination between (1977-1994) was superb.we want these two legends to join forces again to enlighten TFM!

  I have nothing against Hariharan, Srinivas, Shanker, Udit, Kumar, Sonu,..etc, but their voices are not nice, their singing style (no style at all) is boring, none of these singers can express any emotions through their songs, no one sings Romantic songs like SPB, No body has ganam(bass) of SPB, please visit
  
  www.dhool.com & listen 2 a song by SPB called "Kanne en azhagu rani radha", just listen 2 the way he sings it, then u will realise what's all the fuss about!

  Obviously, you are a person who has set high standards for yourself and your expectations.

  This thread is of the opinion that a nasal voice is crime! Sometimes it has a better effect. Not liking a nasal voice is a personal opinion-not a reflection of the quality of the singer!
  
  There is lot of flak for Ir having chosen Hariharan who supposedly does not show enough variations in the 6 songs in Kasi and that they all sound the same! Well, all the intelligent guys who accuse Ir of being a blind follower -please use your supposed intelliegnce to evaluate - Kasi is about a blind beggar who sings for a living- you don't expect him to sing in different tenors and pitches his different songs ! He is expected to sing well -that is all. He is not expected to know the nuances in music! He is pleasant to hear. That's about it ! He is not required to sing in front of 'the Hindu' music critic at the Music Academy!
  
  SPB may have added variety to the songs, maybe improvised a lot. But Raja's idea was to keep it simple and straight. So Hariharan!
  
  So guys, its not about the 'nasal idiot' and the 'blind music director', but it's got to do more with the 'nasty idiot' who started this thread and the 'blind followers' who actually are in consonance with him!
