Who is the best SINGER of all the Music Directors?

All times in EST +10:30 for IST.

We have heard MS Visvanathan sing, we have also heard Ilayaraaja sing. We have had our fair share of AR Rahman's skilled voice and also were forced to put up with Deva's singing at times.

I shouldn't fail to mention SA Rajkumar and Maragathamani although they haven't sang much.

Karthik Raja sings too, as does his younger brother Yuwan. Ramana Gokula sang in "Badri".

WHO among all these music directors are the BEST SINGERS?

  Guys, perhaps we are all missing a point here. Like I have mentioned earlier the voice should suite the type of song. The reason why we all find certain songs sung by IR "unsahikkable" is probabbly because his voice doesn't suite the song in particular.
  
  We are all a bit sore at ARR because he uses singers like Udith, Shukvinder and Sadhana on certain songs which would have sounded better had they been sung by some singers whose native language is Tamil.
  
  IR probabbly should have stayed away from certain songs that would have sounded better had it been sung by someone else.
  
  VC, I am sure no one here is doubting IR's genius!

  You please try to see the facts. I was talking Vijay's mail before the pne about Sreenivasa Iyer. He makes comments like "ARR best not as good as IR worst" and he claims that ARR fans wont mention IR's name as best singer.
  so, Vijay, what I am saying is this:
  I am a biased ARR fan and you are a biased IR fan. But I dont go about questioning people about why they havent mentioned IR's name for such and such.
  And Maran, I dont think anybody could have sung "Snegithane" better than Sadhna. There is no reason to discard her just because she is a Hindi singer.

  I gotta say da best MD for singing has to be ARR, I mean Dil Se Re .. humma, etc .. can't imagine someone elze.. humma in hindi was sing by someone elze ..and it wasn't too great to tell ya da truth
  
  Another MD's voice datz AMAZING is YSR's .. I dunno itz great ... got this young flavour to it .. and all..

  Sridhar, I never said Sadhana did a poor job in Sneghidane...I just said certain songs would have sounded better had it been sung by a singer who knows Tamil. Sadhnana is definetely "undiscardabe"
  
  Sadhana did a wonderful job in 'Vennilave Vennilave" from Minsara Kanavu...but see how she fared in Anbe (Sky) from Rhytm. In anyway we are not here ro discuss about THAT.
  
  I was afraid that this thread would end up being another IR vrs ARR when I started it, guess my worry was well placed :)

  I am sorry to have stepped down to your level to discuss with you. But you must again understand that what all I wrote is true and has no contradictions.
  
  You are trying to divert the issue. I agree that I have said, "My postings have no contradictions" and also "Why are you trying to universalise your subjective feelings". But I have never universalised my feelings. All I have said is subjective and I don't expect you to accept what all I say.

I have not blindly said that ARR is bad. I said I know he is less than IR. I know means I feel. It is my subjective opinion, ok? I am not asking you to accept that. What I want you to understand is that IR is not a bad singer and a better singer than ARR, because that is the truth. My previous posting regarding IR's achievements as a singer stands testimony to it.
  
  It was you who first commented on my English. You might argue that I only commented on myself first, but that shows my humility. But is it manners to comment negatively on a stranger like me in a public forum? This shows your crude way of approaching human relationships.
  
  Really, I did not know that 'enugh' is considered right. 'Biassed'is a spelling mistake. Sorry for that too because you are a great Englishman and I am a novice in English!?!? Kadavul dhaan ungala kaapaathanum!
  
  BTW, what is wrong with 'with substantiate'? Please confirm it. I am not a person living by pointing out others' errors in English. I am a Doctor and live by saving lives, so I'd better not try to act smart like Bharath, who is the official pioneer

  I always in this forum have openly supported ARR and MR most of the times! I have critisized IR mostly for non-musical reasons. I also know that IR's experience and wide knowledge of music (WCM or carnautic) is still ahead of rehman. But you should consider rehmans age and relative inexperience in the correct perspective.
  
  In this forum I dont remember if i have critisized IR's voice, even if I have I have never said ARR's voice is better than IR. The problem with you is that you expect every man, his uncle and his barn cow to confirm to the idea that IR and ARR r mutually exclusive when it comes to a persons liking.
  
  1 more thing saying IR is great is 1 thing and saying ARR is trash definitely means something else. IR has given some less than average movies to ram narayan and SP muthuraman and a host of other people. He has done close to 800 albums and a claim that there is not even an iota amongthose 800*5 = 4000 songs that is bad is ridiculous on primafacy!

  I dont live by pointing out other peoples errors. as much as u do by IR "jabam". and plz doctors r no strangers to me and dont use that angle for emotional brownie points.
  
  and i should correct ur statement to say. "you save lives to live" rather than what u said! I wud accord the same respect to an elderly porter, a old man who lifts rice bags, any SW/HW engineer, doctor anyone. It matters what u do with the money u get rather than what u do to get the money!

  again I did not point out errors until vijay pointed mine out. I think its hitting below the belt and diverting the topic to harp on language issues! unless it is really bad. I once remember doing it in a " A directors love letter thread" bcoz I felt it was written by a 6th std kid and was so bad that starting a thread on it wasnt appealing.
  
  Vijay! says his "biassed" his just a spelling mistake after pointing out a posting earlier that my "enugh" was a spelling mistake, i cud have very well left out the 'O'.
