Vaanavil Talent Quest 2003

Vaanavil Talent Quest is a prestigious talent quest for amateur singers, with the top prize being a Kia make car. VTQ No. 1’s winner was Sheila Raman who got to sing a song under Bharadwaj in the movie Engey Enathu Kavithai. Bharadwaj was one of the judges of the finals.

Last year’s winner was Alinda Alphonse and she is expected to sing under Harris Jeyraj’s music, who was one the judges of the finals. She sang Rukku rukku rukku splendidly and was a good comedienne too.

Who will be the winner of VTQ 2003 and who will be the MD for the finals?
As usual we will have to wait for Tamil new year to know the results. In the meantime, share your thoughts here.

  If the political games were so visible at finals, I wonder what all the audience has missed in the preceeding stages which the station PRE-RECORDED...what is to say foul play could not be "edited" before airing??! Looks like there are more scapegoats than 10 - there are 52 in total...sorry 51.

  As for Paadal Thiran Potti...indeed, padal (song) and thiran (other talents) are important, but everyone knows you CANNOT have ONE competition that evaluates BOTH on the same footing in cases where the other talents are only demonstated at the tail end of the entire competition...please, Vaanavil, realize that you either evaluate singing or you evaluate acting, etc...dont mix the two...apples and apples only, please...

  My god, is this the quality of sentence construction we have from Malaysian graduates. I strongly believe Devi bribed Universiti Malaya to obtain her degree like Anuradha Muragesu in VTQ 2003. Simply horrible.

  Why is that people like Devi and Mike mention that they have degrees? Automatically, they are more intelligent than the rest of the people just because they have degrees. I feel so sorry for them. Living in their own dream world...
  
  On the other hand, I agree 100% that Vanavil should not have 2 types of competition. It defeats the purpose but then again I'm sure that in VTQ 2004, a lot of people will still take part because it's still one of the best hopes for fame and glory for Indians in Malaysia.

  Mary's voice is sharp. I think she never feel so difficult to sing and to express the words.
  Overall she is okay. I guess.

  I am believe that Hanita and Revathi prepare the songs for the group of judges lead by Gangai Amaran. But what a tragedy all their hard work wasted by Tina (dapangkuthu music director) who dont know appreciate the beauty of this classical songs. Follow up by Unni Krishnan who have to follow his decision to make sure he never lost his chnace to sing on his music and one funny Msian Violinist (as usual always think Indian from India can judge better) with keep her mouth shut and follow this donkey Tina judgements. What a waste such a wonderful voice couldnt go through to the final and one rubbish singer like Mariyadass, My Godness!!!! His looking and his voice (Only God can help us) almost look like Tina, managed go through to the final. Astro open your ears and listen to the reall talented voice.

  You cant' simply judge on people's look. You are very handsome is it? God creation is always the best. Be thankful to God that you are born with good look maybe but please don't comment on people's look. I think that is not right. Maybe you like Hanita because she look pretty. That' it.   The judges so far has done great job.
  Hats off to them.
  Some singers who sang classical songs thought they could impress not realising that it is in fact difficult to sing those songs and the judges( with sound knowledge, unlike the audience ) will easily notice the mistakes made.
  THis is a good lesson to singers like Hanita and revathi.
  To me they did bad singing, its a pity because singer like revathi could have easily pull through had she chosen a easy song.

  Is that offencive telling the truth ??? The beauty i am looking through is from their eyes...Did you look this 3rd heat last singer (as per ur request can u guess who is this person without telling the name)??? Ok..I accept ur opinion that Revathi and Hanitha made a mistake by selecting the wrong songs . But did the 3rdwklastsinger did he sing properly ? Or did he really sing ???? Come on guys may be "dissapointed" girls dont express ur own feeling about beauty..Bcos most of the girls (who they think that they are not as good looking as other) always being "iri hati" type by giving bd comments about good looking girls..Dei Tamizha!!!I think u r really rasckal who never did the py eductaion at tmail school and dont know the reall difference between a very good judgement and professional judgement.
