Ilayaraja to Sing in Super Star's BABA!

Ilayaraja will sing in ARR's music for the first time in Rajini Kanth's latest movie, Baba!

The song, "Raasaa nee nooraandu kaalam vaazhanum," will be the title song. Apparently this movie will be the last movie of Super Star before he moves into politics, like Madhuraiyai Meetiya Sundara Paandiyan was for MGR.

What this confirms is that both IR and ARR have mutual respect for each other and it is their fans who are fanning all the aggravation against each other. :)

ARR has used MSV for a couple of movies (Sangamam and Kannathil Muthamittaal) and IR singing for him should not come as a surprise.

This could also have been a result of the personal request of Rajini to IR.

Hopefully, with this news, fans of both geniuses will put aside thier differences and start appreciating both the genius' music.

  MSV knew IR before annakilli also. After Annakilli's release, IR was busy in the recording for some other movie. MSV also had been to the same studio and heard about IR's presence. He had been to the recording theatre and appreciated him. In fact this was told by IR in some interview long time back.
  
  And I am not claiming IR is heir of MSV. It is a fact. Who replaced whom decides who is the next heir in TFM.
  
  I dont remember the movie in which IR had sung for MSV. Sivakumar and Saritha in lead roles. Movie directed by R.Sundarajan.
  
  MSV had sung in Thai Moohambikai and also in one more movie. I dont remember the movie name and other details.
  
  Naga, I remember a proverb "Katrathu Kai Mann Allavu. Kallathathu Ulahallavu".

  I think that movie name is Sugamana Ragangal. MSV has sung recently also IR's music in a Mal movie (Yatra Mozhi?)
  
  Similar relationship existed between Sankar-Ganesh and IR also. Ganesh has sung a couple of songs under IR's music (last one was in Vanna vanna pookkal).

  So at last, Rajni has decided to step into the political cauldron??? Greatttt!!!! Now JJ's machiavellian reign should surely be over in a matter of days...Gotta watch and see if SSRK can have as charismatic a reign at the top as had MGR.
  
  All said and done, there's no better way to end his filmi career than have IR singing for him. Though SSRK was great in his own right, may I dare say IR's tunes helped him build a name for himself, atleast in the early stage of his career(?)

  contrary to our belief, Rajni's status rose from super star level to a kind-of-demi-god-potrayal status after the film paNakkaaran (may not be direct relationship between paNakkaaran and demi god status but definitely rajini's carrier did not end there).

  Raajangahm lists Dr. Ganesan as one of the singers in Vanna Vanna Pookkal. It doesn't list MSV. But it is a known fact that MSV & IR have collaborated in a few movies - eg. SOlla Thudikkudhu Manasu (I think)

  As for Solla Thudikkithu Manasu, I can bet $10 that MSV did not sing in it.

  Pangunikkappuram chithiraye (Vanna vanna pookkal) was sung by Sankar-Ganesh only (Ganesh is wrongly mentioned as Dr.Ganesan).
  
  MSV has sung for IR in both Tamil & Malayalam - eg. Thaye Mookambike & Erikanal Kaatril.
