Time to have some more fun?
What is this lyrics potti huh?Well we have all been witnessing the hidden talents of many of our DFers in the lyrics area. So i decided why dont we
have a small competition in terms of lyrics.
What we need to do?
I will give a popular tune and explain the situation for which this particular song was written. All you have to do is come out with entirely different lyrics(but it should be apt for that particular situation).You should write atleast one pallavi and one charanam. Do not use
English words and please refrain from vulgarity(we have many kavignars in Tamil cine world for that). Whoever comes out with the best set will be
selected as the winner.(the winner will be selected on the basis of nadai, content and tamizh usage)
Who will select the winner??Its going to me(hehehe-easy job:))and Rajaraman.
The winner will be given the responsibility to chose the next tune(only the next) and situation and he will join the panel of judes(!!)to select the next winner.

  Good to see another different take on Telephone Manipoal. "Vidiyalil vilagidum paniyaa" was very smooth to read and would've been soothing to hear. In the last stanza you've gone scientific, that was a nice change.

  oru idea. was listening to pon maalaip pozhuthu from NizhalgaL and suddenly remembered the scene after where rajasekar sings one line for that girl : pon kaalaip pozhuthu. why don't we go ahead a write a song with the ame pallavi, charanama, etc of pon maalip pozuthu, substituting the evening mood for a morning feel? methinks it will be different from what we have been doing all along.

  but seriously, i've heard bhoopalam at all times of the day exept early morning, even once upon a time when i used to be up by 6. but poets don't always work from memory, i think conditioning is at work here. we have heard great poets using such phrases and unconsciously associate bhoopalam with dawn, or neelambari with sleep-time, etc, and incorporate it into our creations. ellam namma popular culture thaan kaaraNam. i mean, i can write songs with sevvanthi, saamandhippoo, etc, without knowing what they look like or how they smell. point to ponder, eh?
  sorry for this major digression, shall we take on "sippi irukkuthu muththum irukkuthu"? know its a tall order, but i have faith.
