Why is he still quiet and making humble notes about the new MDs and their new songs?

Mastero refers to pretty-good/exceptional musicians. And the title doesn't look like an IR Vs MSV theme at all.
Info on MSV will be relevant to teh thread's topic. IMO.

NChari, "nirai kudam thaLumbaadhu" illaiyaa? Adhaithaan MSV paNNikkitturukkaar! What do you expect him to do other than being humble? Comment on today's music...? Like how pg and the like pass comments on him?

IR(only) fans please don't be cheap. IR is a good MD. At the same time there were (there are and there will be) good MDs. Accept the fact.
When IR composed Symphony, the first person approched by IR to listen was MSV.
I don't want to fight with IR(only) fans. If you want to fight, please change the thread.
Eg for mood setting:
Still in marriage halls we can listen "Vaarai en thozi"
Is it necessary to explain the mood for "Ponnal Pokattum Poda?" Still we use that in some situations.
There are so many. MSV is great.

let me clarify....
>>S (@ 192.135.244.69)<< is different from
>>S (@ 208.24.179.211)<<....
I'm the former who had asked some questions about MTK (mella thirandhadhu kadhavu) and i got some vague answers from vvn, another S and fliflo etc...
eden,
thanks for the info...

guys
let's get on with the main theme. MSV is a pale shadow of his former self (not musically). he lives in a rented house, his financial status is quite pitiable, his good-for-nothing sons have turned out to be alcoholics.
musically, he remains a king. after all these years, he can still create a ripple (Sangamam). i think his musical contribution deserves serious study.

MSV was composing till 85's, now I can ask you where is so called lord of king of music..etc, gone hinding ?
Just want to see the facts. Can you give me a list of MSV hit movie albums from 1976 - 1985? Or atleast how many movies he composed in that period? Lets compare with IR's 1992- 2000 and see how he is fairing against MSV?

Rasigan - needs to be corrected. MSV lives in his own house independently and happily as ever. His sons are in business doing film / TV production work and are independent on their own. Even his daughters are running their own beauty business concerns. His sons in law are well placed. All this is not in light because they shun unwanted publicity for known human reasons.
Let us not go too personal in this forum,as this is for his songs and not sons. IR fans(?atics) shouldnt question 'is KR a spendthrift?','is YSR in the love web?'just for the sake of it and should realise the mutual warmth they exchange. MSV has always appreciated IR more than expected. Was it reciprocated? Conscience will answer!
Siva Prasada Reddy garu "Devudu Manusha Roopena". Your King of the Kings agrees to this.
Please bear with me and listen to my genuine explanation that Maestro was NOT a title offered on IR and it was just a letter addressed from RPO to IR as Dear Maestro instead of Dear Sir. This has comeout in the news clippings when the letter was read ou during felicitations for IR in chennai for doing symphony.
Remember times were different and times are different. IR is a Honorary Doctor from Annamalai University and aspiring for National awards through MPs. AR Rahman is a Padmashri National award winner and International best award winner. MSV is only a winner of hearts of crores and crores of fans with his melodies. His songs are in life day in and day out. People live their lives in his songs' company, in all walks of life, in all situations, in all styles of Indian and western music. Not a day ends in a persons life without MSVs songs. A plain and simple 'Mellisai mannar' (which he refused in the phone to Kannadasan by saying "Inga appadi yaarum illai" -Ananda Vikatan) as he is fondly called by his fans and thousands of his compositions, be it for films, ballets, lightmusic songs, devotional songs, traditional literature songs which are time tested, will stand testimony for the greatness of this great human being.

Just because MSV didn't win any awards, is he only a winner of hearts of crores and crores of fans? Others won some, and they aren't winners of anyone's hearts? Give me a break.
