Bhavatharini wins national award !!!!

Bavatharini and Shankar Mahadevan are winning national awards for the songs 'Mayil pola ponnu' and 'Enna solla pogirai'. Anu Malik wins the best MD award. Any comments?

  I thought Chitra sang brilliantly in KKKK. Bhava is a poor choice. Also the best MD should have gone either for IR (Bharathy) or ARR (KKKK/AP).

  Karthik Raaja----If Swarna bagged National Award for Porale Ponnuthayee...and Chitra for her eight line rendition of duet, Payal from Viraasst for a retuned song...then Bhavadharani deserves the award for singing a original,complete, melody song....I 've been always using her voice now I will use her more..
  Yuwan Shankar Raaja....Due to pressure from Dad and Mom, I was giving chances to Bhava discreetly...Now that she has become the youngest female singer to grab National Award, we are proud of her and surely you will hear more of Bhava, in future in my tunes.

  I really doubt whether YSR is using Bhava due to pressuer from Dad and Mom(???)., He has given some very good songs to her - 'Nee illai enDRaal' is the latest example.,
  
  IMO, the best YSR-Bhava Combo song is 'Pooththathu Pooththathu manathu' - a small song from 'Poovellaam keettup Paar'.

  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT PURE MUSICAL CREDENTIALS AND TECHNICAL
  SOUNDNESS ARE NOT THIER FACTORS FOR AWARDS.
  THE AWARD BENCH ONLY EXPRESSES ITS ILLITERACY ON MUSIC BY NOT
  SELECTING FILM BHARATHI WHERE I.RAAJA WENT ON RAMPAGE TO GIVE BEST
  MELODY IN THE WORLD.
  "THE HINDU" DAILY KNOWN FOR ITS ESTEEM IN NEWSPAPER WORLD IGNORED
  THE PROJECTION OF TAMIZHNADU AWARDWINNERS "SHANKAR MAHADEVAN" AND
  BHAVATHARINI(MALE AND FEMALE PLAYBACK SINGERS) AND WENT ON TO SAY

  ITS NOT A GREAT IDEA TO NEGLECT OR SUPRESS THE PROJECTIONS OF
  TAMIZH AWARDWINNERS WHEN IT ENJOYS THE MAXIMUM CIRCULATION ONLY FROM

  it is good to know that bhavatharini has won the national award though i wonder if it will make a big difference to the family that is immune to awards anyway. i think she needs to work harder technically. she is gifted with the haunting, earthy voice like her dad. good luck

  I dont know why you guys are picking on Bhava ... mediocrity seems to be the central theme of the national awards this time. I sure am glad that none of the giants (IR/ARR/SPB etc) won anything this year - the worst ever for the awards. I sure wish that somebody takes the initiative to form a film artists association and give out awards (on the line of the oscars).

  Very poor judgement from National award committee member by selecting the Bhavadarani as best female singer. I have doubt that there is political or bribe behind in it. To national award committee be fair to everybody don't addict to bribe or political forces. I am very proved of the three committee members resigned for the unfair result.

  Ajay Devagan won award for ZAKHM,recently..No one complained...
  Glamour Dolls including Rekha and Archana for her mediocre performances couple of times picked up national award for tamil films...nobody complained...
  This year where there is practically no standard entries around the actor of 20 years standing and an actress of 13 years experience have won awards for fairly challenging roles....

  Thanks for your list. Amazing. I have listened to about 70% of the songs... & liked most of them. But how many just because of Bhava's voice is still a question.
  
  But definitely Mayil POla, Maamarathula, santhanam thaechaachu, nilavin amuthu are my favourites.
