6 Songs : Mind Blowing!!

Simply mind-blowing
November 20
Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”
Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.
Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

Maddy,
Yuva will not be able to top the charts again until MR releases a few more songs and promos for Television. As long as MR's gonna be this secretive, it isnt gonna hit the top until its release. Ok-va?
But jus think about it.. It's broken all sales barriers when the audio released, and jus for a tiny promo of Anjana Anjani, it was placed 1st. So u can realise the kinda potential it has. So podhumpa! Release-aara varaikum indha "Yuva is being battered" pecha niruthunga! NOM, but please!

Actually none of the heros Ajay, Abhishek or Vivek have great markets, and Mani would be remembered for his clueless attempt in Dilse.
Maddy theres nothing to panic, Yes i agree just showing Anjani is not going to help the music sales.
Wait for the movie to release, then we can discuss if its doing well or not.
If i'm correct Thakshak had fantastic music but it did only average business.

who said vivek doesent have a good market???/he has more hits than hrithik roshan and fardeen khan..........Company was a smash hit, saathiya was a surprise box-office success, Masti is doing not bad....
everything now depends on movie and the kind of reviews it gets.......reviews are an important factor in movie becoming a hit in Bollywood....

Maddy,
I too dont feel Ajay devagan and Vivek oberoi has great markets.
I think Ajay is low cost hero, he cant carry on the film by himself unlike aamir, Salman and Shahrukh.
I still dont remember a film which ran just for Ajay.
Same with Vivek oberoi, Hritik had 4 or 5 flops but he has given 2 films that grossed over 35 crores each Kaho nah and koi mil gaya, no wonder Hritik commands 3 crores and VO less than a crore.

i dunno wat u guys are talking abt.....tell me which movies did well just for salman khan????hrithik roshan had to come as a mentally retarted to make a movie run......and kaho na pyar hain was xcellent direction by rakesh....so SRK is the only person who can give hit on his own.......others do need a good script to make movies run.....

Vairamuthu's magAKK! Courtesy:Lazy Geek.net
Vairamuthu's magAKK!
Multi-lingual movies, with their other challenges also bring with them the undeniable challenge of songwriting. With Rahman and other music directors making waves in multiple languages, one can't help but compare the quality of lyrics in the Hindi and the Tamil versions of the same film.
Why this rant? Because of Mani Ratnam's Yuva/Aayitha Ezhuthu music release. Among other lyrical masterpieces by Vairamuthu, one line that stands out is "Kann Thondri Kann Kaana Kanneero" (Is this a tear that is out, yet unseen?) in the song Hey, Goodbye Nanba!
The movie itself is about identity. The letter AKK, which in Tamil can only be used in conjunction with another letter to convey any meaning; the three lead characters, who all come with different ideals and then learn from the other perspectives to define their own identity. Vairamuthu captures the essence of this dilemma concisely (in only 3 words) and yet leaves the listener with so many questions - Is the tear there? Is it gone? Is the sorrow still left after the tear is gone? Much as one hopes Aayitha Ezhuthu will leave the audience wondering about the identity of today's youth.
One can't help but sigh at the genius of Vairamuthu (not that that needed any mention), and at the same time compare it with the bland "Begana Begana" in the Hindi Version of the same song.

The blue tone for Siddharth says that he is a terribly romantic person always willing to take risks for his own sake. The crimson red color for Madhavan is to suggest his anger towards the society for the situation he finds himself in. Surya has a green tinge for his trailors which says that he is in the process of making a revolution but is not sure of the final result. It was nice that you noticed these strange colors in trailors. I feel that this was used only for the trailors and not in the films. Let me tell you something striking about this. If all these colours come together we get a white colour, which is the symbol of peace. May be that's what Mani Ratnam is trying to suggest. But you never know. He might spring a surprise. I am waiting eagerly for the film.

Movie: Aayitha Ezhuthu
Director: Mani Ratnam
Producer:Madras Talkies
Music: A R Rahman
Cast: Surya, Madhavan, Siddharth, Esha Deol, Meera Jasmine, Trisha, Bharadiraaja, Nadhiya, Sreeman, Janakraj.
Mani Ratnam says that his Aayitha Ezhuthu is actually based on the life of a student of Osmania University in Hyderabad. Aayitha Ezhuthu is about three young men from three different strata of society having different views towards life. Their paths cross one day and their life changes forever. (See: Pictures from the film)
Surya is a child protégée who is invited to America to do his Ph.D under Nobel Laureate Weinberg. He is violent by nature and can’t tolerate anything he believes is wrong. His love interest is Esha Deol who teaches French and studies politics. She is madly in love with him and always waiting for him to propose. But Surya is not keen as he does not believe in the institution of marriage. He wants Esha to move in with him and live together.
Madhavan is a mean street ‘dada’ of Chennai, a guy who grew up in the slums. He uses the language of the gutter and at the least provocation gets violent. The guy however has one weakness, his lovely wife Meera Jasmine, a Brahmin girl with whom he had eloped. Maddy’s mantra in life - “If you don’t get it by asking, then snatch it.”
Siddharth plays a typical Tamil Brahmin engineer on his way to USA, the land of fortune and opportunity. He believes “in minimum efforts but maximum returns”. He will do anything to live life to the fullest- ‘anything’ includes lying, bending the rules, cajoling, even begging! His ‘nanba’ is Trisha who wants to raise his family. They live up life in discos! Suddenly out of the blue their paths cross which leads to the twist in the tale, as they encounter a common enemy! The film has an impressive technical team of Ravi K Chandran (camera), Sujatha (dialogues), A R Rahman (Music), Vairamuthu (lyrics), Sabu Cyril (art), Sreekar Prasad (Editing), Brinda (Choreography) and Vikram Dharma (Stunt).

"i dunno wat u guys are talking abt.....tell me which movies did well just for salman khan????"
Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. I think Tere Naam (Sethu remake) did decent business. I hate his acting, so I don't really follow his career. He may have given more hits I'm not aware of.
