  The mood in the song Nendhikittaen & that in Sakthi Kodu for example are very different. The difference in these emotions has been correctly conveyed by Karthik.I don't think he is stereotyped.
  
  By the way, Is this KK the one who has sung Oru punnagai poove in 12B?

  All handsome guys get favoured.Karthik is 21 and very smart looking...From Rajini to IR ...every one encourages him as they want to please this young guy who looks smarter than every other hero in the South....Voice is also manly and melodious...Today hardly any new film album without his name on it....Kartik is today N01 TO NO5....in TFM.....Others are far behind him...TNS

  I am a great fan of SPB. But i always looked for some new voices, earlier Saran then Yugendran looked promising but dunno where they are now. After Nernthukitaen, i hav been lookin' for Karthik's songs in each album. That guy is really something.
  
  Barani's movie Kaveri has an energetic song sung by Shankar and Karthik, resembles kind of Sakgthi kodu.. but its a really good song. cherck it out guys. As i started a thread on that movie it went unnoticed coz MD is barani :(

  Being smart & handsome may fetch a guy some girl friends...not surely singing offers:) If Karthik gets good singing offers it is not because he is handsome or smart but because he is talented. He also seems to be very modest.
  
  Also, nobody is equal to SPB in being expressive. His voice is very powerful. Hope Karthik also comes up like SPB.

  it was NOT ir but arr who introduced Karthik.
  Karthik was in ARR's choir. He debuted w/ Nenthikitten - Star. But the 1st song that released was Manja kaatu - Manathai Thirudi Vittai(?) watever the name of the film.. it starred Prabhu boneless Deva and Gayathri jayaram.

  Karthik rocks in that song 'Chori Pe Chori' i am damn sure that song will hit top chart. Good to see tamils beat north specially this Sonu Nigham guy.

  whoever introduced Karthik ..i think he is doing a splendid job...it is his beautiful voice that has got him this far...the first song i ever heard and really appreciated karthik's voice was osaka muraiya from the movie...Alli Arjuna...maybe u guys shld listen to it again and will agree with me he sings with a melodiuos and romantic voice...wish u all the best karthik !

  "July Malargalae" from Bhagavathi, what a listeners treat from Karthick. His stylish accent never allows tamil to be killed. I would say he is going to be next SPB with his variation of his voice.

  yennangaa yevanum "aval ulaga azhagiye ' from LL pathi sollave maatengareenga ? I thought that was one of his top 3 songs so far. Especially in the stanzas, where he switches from lower to higher octaves and to lower again.

  karthik sings really well.. aval ulaga azhagiye and shakthi k odu.. aparently he had sung the track for shakthi kodu initially. Baba heard it and loved it and thus karthik was retained for the song. btw is he karthik or karthiCk?

  Karthik's voice in July malargalae is splendid indeed.
  I had always felt that when any male singer sings along with Sadhana Sargam, her voice dominates his. But it is the other way round in this song.Karthik's voice dominates in this song 'coz of his voice modulation...Call it style , accent or whatsoever.

  hey guys i agree karthik has good & energetic voice but plz do not compare with spb. will any of
  karthik stand along with spb hits e.g. kathalil dheepam, enna satham, or the latest vazhaga vazhaga in Kathal Virus. Karthik will just just be another seasonal singer like hariharan, unni krishan,unni menon, udit narayan, shanker mahadevan. evan harish ragavendra who currently has a melodious voice is not comparable to great spb.

  hello mr. rajkumar, spb is a great singer, no doubt about it. but u should remember that he starts singing even before karthik born. so his experience is more karthik's age. so, surely karthik will become another spb or even better then him when he reaches his age. thanks.

  I was referring to the Aval Ulaga Azhagiye from LL- Laysa Laysa. Thats the latest one from Harris Jeyaraj (movie not released yet). There are couple of other good numbers in that album.

  Karthik sounds very romantic in the song 'Aval Ulaga Azhgiye'
  
  'Vaan Nila' from KV is very different from the songs which he has sung. The song runs quite fast
  but still he has pronounced each & every word very clearly without messing up.
  
  Karthik had proved that he could sing philosophical songs also with great ease thro' 'Maaya Maaya'. He has proved it again in the song 'Aadatha aattamellaam' from Mounam Pesiathae.
  
  His voice in 'Muthu Muthu pennukkoru' from En Mana Vaanil is highly commendable because of its clarity.
