What about Malaysia Vasudevan? His songs like "Kodai Kala Katrae, Kulir Thendral Paadum Paatae..." and "Malarghalae Nadaswarangal, Mangala thaeril ..." Such nice songs....

  My opinion is that the following song is more suited for MV
  Madathilae Kanni Madathilae.....
  in the movie "Vira". Any other view???

  MV was and is a totally a different singer
  whom IR used heavily for innovations...
  and all tests were successful....there is no
  such singer to sing a song like

  There is a song from "Indru poi Naalai vaa", K.Baghyaraj movie, "Madana moga roopa sundari", wonderfully rendered by MV (He actualy imitated Thiruchi Loganathan's voice).
  Also one more song from Micheal Madana kama rajan, "Per vachchalum vaikkama ponalum mallivasam".

  What about Arisi kutthum akkaa makalae, Songs in Adhiyasayapiravi( all the songs are rendered by MV for Rajini ), kalyaana maalai kondaadum pennae( Pathos ), paatu ingae raabappaaa from Poovizhi vaasalile, list is big, guys!!!

  MV sang some very different songs but very few that could be called classics. My favourites are
  Aaagaya gangai (In -dharma yuddam The R C Shakti movie which literally gave rajni a new lease of life)
  Poove Illaya poove ( kozhi koovuthu )
  aaatukkutti muttayittu ( 16 V very topical & down to earth)
  MV does not have a great voice but more than makes up with enthusiasm & gusto.
  You have to give it to him . He is at least different. not a SPB/KJY clone.
  Remember dharpuram sundarrajan. his was also adifferent voice but sadly never used much.

  Here is my addition:
  M. Vaasu Devan was above everything else a
  common sense, sensible singer. Not having any great talent, resourcefulness, yet he knew fully
  well how to express himself within his limitations. And that is what I regard him for.
  His voice naturally resembelled SPB's (though
  not strikingly). The temptation was there to
  be a clone of the super successful vocalist,
  yet he resisted it and stuck to his original

  Ananda Then Kaatru thaalaattudu - Manipoor Mamiyar- another song where MV imitates CSJ.

  'Intha Minminiku - Sigappu Rojakkal
  ' was a wonderful song, badly picturised :(
  
  MV's 'Oru thanga rathathil ' and ' Aaagaya Gangai' from tharma yutham are excellent numbers, mostly IR utitilised this singer, he is very good at folk songs!
