  Jay it is ur opinion that only if u create a ripple when u enter the field, that u can be a successful MD.
  YSR has show that is not the case. YSR is creating waves now, regardless of how he first started in the field. You say KR has done Hindhi movies, but how many of those movies are well knows amongst Non-Tamilians? KR is lagging behind the pack in TFM music, so in no way can u say YSR isn't doing a great job.
  YSR is the MD for the future.

  When yuvan made his debut in aravindan he was very young, i.e, he was in his teens.Thats is the first movie in the Indian Film history where a music director did the background music so called re-recording before the movie was made.That is really a difficult task even for the experienced music directors to do the bgm without seeing the picturisation.The bgm music was also noticable at that time.But as the film was not so good his work has become unnoticable. ARRahman got a breakthrough as he had chosen a right film for his entry.If he would have chosen a movie like Aravindhan his work would have also be unnoticed.Think about ARR's 2nd film Pudhiya Mugam .. if that movie would have been his first one, then this world would have missed such a talented MD. I think yuvan didnt get some challenging movies like Roja which will bring him the national attention.If he gets something like that he will defenitely prove himself.

  Bala Pudhiya Mugham was not bad either. It had Netru Illaatha Maatram, Kannukku Mai Azhaghu and July Madham Vandhaal.
  
  ARR presented something different, which IR wasn't. These days all MDs including ARR but IR, are churning out the same old stuff. It irritates.
  
  Gone are the days of MD domination. Hope someone gives us good music or IR gets more chance.
