Ya Goku..i so agree..SA Rajkumar..is the worst well maybe not the worst..but..his music tunes and everything are not interesting...they don't have any spark to it or watever.

I feel when comes to over all music, there is no comparision to illayaraja. ARR is a good music composer, but i would say him as a good music changer. We comes to originality, he lacks a lot. Another music director who also has similar capability as Ir is karthik raja. His musics in dum dum dum, ullasam, naam irruvar namaku iiruvar, grahan and etc are superb. but too sad to say that no body out there to apprciate his talent and wisdon in musics. YSR well is another version of AR. He is very young indeed. pls dont compare him with AR. there is vast difference between them. but it is only matter of time ysr to conquer tamil industry, As many say he has taken a lot of projects, yaa some movie like geethai, junior senior really fails. hope he will keep current momentum and achieve more success. he is already working with KS ravikumar. so it an oppurtunity for him to show his talent than unlucky karthik raja.

I would list the top music directors according to their original music scoring capability :

1. Illayaraja - good in every sector
2. Karthik Raja - good orchestran
3. AR Rahman - good keyboard player
4. Yuvan Shankar Raja - good keyboard player
5. Harris Jeyaraj - good keyboard player

This list is a stupid list! There are no good tamil music directors in tamil nadu. All they make is crap! They torture everyopnes ear with noises. Tamil cinema will never change as long as we have amateur music directors. Instead os focussing on songs how about focus on background music. MDs are one of the reason why the tamil movies never get international success.

If we consider number of films thay do
IR and ARR are no where in 5.
If We consider quality, There is no one other than IR.
If We consider noise makers, ARR is the first.
If We consider followers of raagas and music

Truly speaking I care a damn what list people make.

A few years ago I was obsessed with Dalapathi, Thevar Magan, then came some of Rahmans albums. Then Dum Dum Dum. Now Boys, KKS, etc. Currently I am listening to Virumandi.

Tomorrow which ever is good.

I suppose none of you too are really bothered who scores the music as long as it is good and to your liking. Then why unnecessarily debate about listing? Any debate must have an outcome. Do you expect the opponent to surrender and give up? Then why the f**k waste time, energy, resources (most of you might be using company resources such as me)?

let us make this a model website for other languages to envy. Discuss music and not the music director. For all I know they dont care. Why do you?
