Time to have some more fun?
What is this lyrics potti huh?Well we have all been witnessing the hidden talents of many of our DFers in the lyrics area. So i decided why dont we
have a small competition in terms of lyrics.
What we need to do?
I will give a popular tune and explain the situation for which this particular song was written. All you have to do is come out with entirely different lyrics(but it should be apt for that particular situation).You should write atleast one pallavi and one charanam. Do not use
English words and please refrain from vulgarity(we have many kavignars in Tamil cine world for that). Whoever comes out with the best set will be
selected as the winner.(the winner will be selected on the basis of nadai, content and tamizh usage)
Who will select the winner??Its going to me(hehehe-easy job:))and Rajaraman.
The winner will be given the responsibility to chose the next tune(only the next) and situation and he will join the panel of judes(!!)to select the next winner.

  somehow, i don't jell up to the concept of a competition...it is sort of becoming a joke with 3-5 guys participating..why don't we turn this into a fun thing where we just put up a lyrics for songs...all needn't write for one song..just write for whatever song u think of. or better still, we can have in rotation a person mentioning a song and another person's name and asking him to write a song. also, i feel we just should not end up posting the songs but should also critically analyze them..in other words, we should do the job of ramki openly..there are rules that ramki and myself elucidated for this purpose and they can serve as the guiding rules.

  I'm for your suggestion that we should not just post songs but critically analyze them.
  
  Your song is simple and nice. Within the time I allocated to writing the lyrics, I couldn't find words fitting 100% into the tune (as you can see). Your lines fit the tune perfect. Good job.

  Balu,
  Can you state your case more clearly and only once please? Are you saying we can't possibly match the songs you have mentioned? I'm sure we can give our lyrics version for these songs. We have done so for bigger and better songs before. You don't think "Poongaatru Thirumbumaa" and "Paalum Pazhamum" rank as great songs?
  
  What we're trying to do here is give our versions for famous tunes. Occasionally we try to better originals. Is this atrocious in your opinion? I feel it's an invigorating exercise.
