yedo yedo not only sounds like udaya udaya.. the first line it also reminds us a lot of old songs as well.. for example "unai pol oru penin arukiley oram kolvathu kashtam nam pesikolatha nimisham elamey nashtam" reminds us the old IR song sung by SPB vasantha malikaiyil vaikai odivara ilamai thedi vara arathanai seiyatuma..
but yedo yedo is the best song of the album.. yedo yedo, alakina alaku and asathura is good other songs are just ordinary, nothing special. so arr fans over acting kudukama mooditu pongada...

A review from Chennaionline
'Enakku 20 Unakku 18'
Music-A R Rahman
Lyrics- PA.Vijay

It's gone. The music's gone. He's gone. The man's gone. After hearing his genius producing excellent pieces in 'Jeans', 'Sangamam', and others, you wonder whether it is the same person who has come up with 'Enakku 20 Unakku 18'. A R Rahman's second 'youth' offering, after 'Boys', disappoints.
The first song 'Azhaginna Azhagi' begins with a bang, and you think that it is some kind of fast, peppy number. Alas, it is a 'Tak Din' song, the beats rhythmic and continous.
From beats, Rahman moves to 'happiness'. The secong song 'Santhipoma' has a happy, pleasant feel in it. Unni Menon sounds good.
'Strictly for u'th', screams the tagline for this film. The 3rd song symbolises that. You have Blaaze shouting/screaming something. What do words, so-called lyrics like 'Gama Gama', "Bling Dinga Long' mean?
With disappointment and hope, you play Side B. The first song here 'Oru Nanban' starts beautifully. Seems, that in this song ARR was confused, thought of making it slow, Carnatic but ended up with a pacy, normal number. SPB Charan here is okay, but nothing like 'Alaipayuthe' or 'Boys'.
'Yedo Yedo' is the best song of the film. It has a haunting, melancholic feel to it, probably depicting separation. It sounds somewhat like 'Udaya Udaya' in 'Udaya', though.
The last song is 'Asathura', a typical college song where boys go behind girls, singing loudly, describing their beauty. That type of song which you've heard a thousand times before.
Verdict: The well-known 'Rahman Rule' holds good for this film too. You hear it again and again, only then you may like it.

Jyoti Krishna : Really really beautiful. AR Rahman has put in his heart and soul for all songs in the movie. It's an out and out commercial, youth oriented movie and the songs are all potential chartbusters.
Vijay : So when do we get to hear the songs?
Jyoti Krishna : We are aiming for a May release, so the audio should be released in April as we need at least a month for the pre-release publicity.
Vijay : All the best for your movie and we hope it does well.
Jyoti Krishna : Thank you so much.
They are the people who work behind the scenes, quietly and sincerely. They make sure everything works with clockwork precision. They probaby cannot afford to make any mistakes since there are no retakes. Admist a steady stream of visitors which includes directors, producers, singers, musicians, mail delivery personnel and gate crashers !! (yes!), Rita, the front office staff at probably India's hottest music destination, AR Rahman's Panchathan Record Inn agrees to a tete-a-tete with Vijay Iyer.

- 'Santhipooma' is OK Number. It surprising to hear Unni Menon's voice sounding lot younger!. Or is it that he doesnt sing that much these days?
- 'Yedo Yedo' is What me know AR Rehman as. With Karthik rendering as soft as Srinivas, Poornima having done very well, a hit Duet is on the avail. The elongation in 'Uyireee....' was good - reminds Ramesh Vinayagam in Nala Damayanthi. The long the Violin interludes are impressive. I wish I could hear this song with out any lyrics.
I dont understand the choice of Surjo Bhattacharya for singing 'Azhaginna Azhagi'
- 'Oru Nanbanirunthal' starts well, but Chinmayi's Pronuciation sucks. Charan didnt get much scope in this song. Interludes are mediocore.
The rest sound like lifted from ARRs Thrash can.
'Asathara' - The drums interlude (think before the second charanam) was good - but for that a junk.
Kama Kama tries to cash in from Boys aftermath?

E20U18 is a fairly decent album. Base beats and the unique delivery of 'Kama Kama' and 'Asathura Asathura' brings out the class of ARR style recording.
Sandhipoma and Yedhovondru although are very soothing, on repeated listening puts u to boredom, especially the latter which is based on the same Charukesi ragam as Udhaya Udhaya.
Nanbanirundhaal is above average. Chinmayee again proves her class in both the songs. Kunal that has sung kama kama royally kills tamizh and udit can lift off his collar.

I really liked the Santhippoma... it has a very refreshing tune.... Unni Menon's voice really sounds good and he has really done justice to the song. Anupama and Chinmayi add to the effect.

I agree with chennaionline's review. He is gone for sure, the last line says "you may like it" not "will", that's the feeling you get after listening to it. This is 10thodu 11vathu album, that's it, i mean to his flop list...
