wow MIL is trying to give me a lessonin rap, rap is a way of singin lyrics. Eminem is a lyricist he raps or flows to beat given to him by others. so basically what i said stands, i dont see how ur refuting it.

Rap\HipHop is the worst kind of entertainment with all their dirty lyrics and big humpings, unfortunately pampered by teens. Just try to translate their language in your own and see how freaky they are.
A real Cultured fellow will never follow them. And top of it most of them are from dirty backgrounds like thug , murders and what not.
MOTOWN was far better than what they are producing now.
btw,If any one can guess we have sort of our own form which resembles to rap genre but with good morale teachings

unfortunately or fortunately i don't know tamil that might be a reason why i am enjoying them so much :). joke apart e.g. Take some of the lyrics from eminem , he uses all f word and m* word and hittin his mother & stuff. Does that occur in tamil lyrics ?

haha if u havent noticed eminem doesnt like his mom much cuz of his childhood i guess.
but i dont understand tamil much either but if u listen to like that song from citizen pookari,if u listen to the lyrics the guy is basically talkin abt him and the girls flower, or the song from saamy kalyanatha, there are otehrs too, pretty much any gaana song. or like dhil the machan meesai or sumthin.

agneye, piratheepan..
First of all somebody says RAP is not a genre, Eminem is a Lyricist.. what bull?
Eminem is a lyricist no matter what, but do you guys ever see Explicit Lyrics.. In tamil we are more conservative. I dont want to talk about that.. but saying RAP is not a genre is utterly stupid. you may not like it, but the truth is IT IS.
"Lose Your Self" listen to the song, it won the Oscar.. but other songs are there which made had the worst lyrics, He did mix Enigma with his Music, Elton John with his Music.
Ok I am not here to teach anybody, but I hate when posts come just coz it is said.

Subject: Adada Expanded
Hi,
Till now I was listening to Pithamagan songs while at work and
this weekend when i lestened to it at home , i could realise the
complexity involved in the timing of the song Adada . Tried to
understand it and could crack it a bit to simple counts so that just
following the song with 1 2 3 .... would be easy to understand the
timing. Found it really exiting and amazing. This one was similar to
the song "Meeta tha oruveenai " from "Poonthotam" about which i had
already written to this group. This one was far more complex. I just
wanted to share the split up of the song with u all. Please find the
attached txt file.
The file contains numbers for each line in the song which might help in
understanding the timing of the song. The most important aspect of the
song is that the songs fits in to a 8 beat song very well by the concept
of LCM. In most of the places the rhythm follows a 8 beat pattern but
the song goes in to for eg: 14+14+10=24 concept where you get back to
the timing after 3 bars.
I've tried to map the timing to lyrics (Please excuse me for the lyrics)
so that is easy to follow. I've repeated the pallavi counts so that its
easy to follow while listening to the song and hence need not scroll up
for pallavi counts.
Hope this will be of use to ppl who would like to crack the timing of
the song.
Karthik
