6 Songs : Mind Blowing!!

Simply mind-blowing
November 20
Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”
Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.
Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

Clapboy Kathiresan
"I will never forget this movie in my life. Clapping for stars like Surya, Madhavan, Trisha are memories I'll cherish forever. Mani Sir is always an inspiration for the entire unit and everyone looks upto him with high respect. The way he sets up a scene in the set and explaining to me what that scene is about and how he expects me to clap accordingly for each scene is something to be watched to be believed."

Lightboy Sundar
"This is going to be a great hit movie. The way we have used different colour of light for different actors is something new. Ravi Sir and Mani Sir used to ask me to be ready with all possible colours of light that we had for every scene. And for each one of those 3 heroes and 3 heroines , we had to use 27 different possible colour combinations with varying hue, brightness, saturation levels."

MR didn't object as he didn't want to delay the release date and has cut some scenes.

if there are steamy scenes they would have given A certificate.
There would be intimacy but maniratnam would not take cheap vulgar movies like shankar or selvaraghavan type of directors

Mr.Ferrari,
Read my mail again. Censors wanted to give an A but MR agreed to cut some scenes and finally got out with an UA to save the release date. Read yourself in today's sify.com Tamil movies section.

OOPS!! Sorry! here it is!!
Censors find `AE` too steamy!
By Moviebuzz

Also see: Pictures from `Aayitha Ezhuthu`
The regional censors in Chennai found Mani Ratnam’s Aayitha Ezhuthu too steamy. There are some steamy bedroom scenes in the film which the censors have toned and finally after a lot of deliberation they have given the film a “UA” certificate.
Mani wanted a “U” certificate but the board members say they found these scenes to be a little too much for family audience. Aayitha Ezhuthu is loosely based on Amores Perros, a Mexican film which was nominated at the Oscars 2000 under The Foreign Film Category.
If Mani Ratnam had refused to the ‘UA’ certificate his film would have been referred to the revising committee and the release would have to be postponed. So Mani has taken the best decision by agreeing to some minor cuts.

come on yaar, censors have to grow up......wat is steamy for them......smooching and kissing???? it shuldn't be vulgar like thulluvatho ilamai and Boys...it shuldn't cause ppl. to turn thier faces away when those scenes come.......that's wat ther aim shuld be.... nowadays 4th std. kids fight with their frnds showing middle-finger.....censors shuld change with changing times.....

See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil - and you will never write a best selling novel.
Sad that this logic applies to Mani too.

Best censor guys are operators.
If something is too steamy they will be ready to use their scissors.

Haven't you heard of these operators adding some steamy scenes[totally unconnected to the movie] in some of these sub-urban theaters?
Suddenly, the censors are the bad guys when these unscrupulous directors and operators exploit the public. Interesting.
Is it all because it is a MR/ARR movie?

Unfair!
I remember this film shot near the the Old Faithful. And it wasnt censored.. and believe me, it was steamy! :)
*ok..ithoda en kadiya niruthikiren.. for now :) *
But seriously.. MR was never shy to have a "steamy" scene as they say. I'd rather speak from the time I've been following his movies. Roja. :)
There was this scene in Pudhu Vellai Mazhai song. It was supposed to be so intimate u cud see Arvind Swamy squirm! (but then.. when does he not?)

I don't think that Mani would have stooped to such levels of vulgarity,as said by Ferrari, one can never expect Mani's movies to have vulgar content like Shankar's or Selvaraghavan's. Meanwhile the scoops declare Mani's offering as a inspirational venture of Mexican movie.Let's c.
